Listen up high blood pressure people....
...I think I have mentioned this before, but here it is again:

Before all this tumour malarkey, my blood pressure was very high, the doctors gave me different medication, different mixtures etc. It never improved!

After the clever brain 🧠 surgeon had a poke at my brain, blood pressure cured...and when I say cured, textbook readings all the time!

Since then, I've heard so many people with similar stories, I don't think it would have made a difference but it does make me curious.

Anyway, think about this if you have high blood pressure, don't ignore your body if it is trying to tell you something.

Can't stress enough.... no medical training (unless you count a expired Scout leader first aid thingy) take with a pinch of salt!

Here's a sad picture of me to emphasize the seriousness of this post!

Very different experience for us yesterday.

We like helping people. We’re obviously not medically trained, but the amount of research Sam has done over the last year is genuinely incredible, and if any of what we’ve learned can help someone else, we’ll always try.

I’m obviously not going to share any details, but last night we were contacted by a mum whose 6-year-old has two brain tumours.

Six years old.

It’s hard to even comprehend. I’m an adult and I’m scared by what I’m going through… so what must that poor little kid, and their family, be going through?

It hit particularly close to home because Max is six too. Part of me feels selfish for even thinking about it that way, but I think it’s impossible not to. You look at your own child and your heart just breaks.

Cancer is cruel at any age. But when it comes for children, there really are no words.

We’ll keep helping where we can. We’ll keep raising awareness. We’ll keep raising money. We’ll keep fighting.

We will beat this evil disease little man.

RIGHT!!! Slightly scary news....but a lot more fun...hopefully!!!

This Sunday 16th August I'm doing my first marathon!!! And Max is doing 2 laps with me (6km)!!! Next year he will be on skates!!

Max is annoying youthful and fit, but me on the other hand have gotten very squidgy!

Training has been less than ideal, I have to sit with my feet up to make them look like human feet and fit in my skates...I have a broken toe too but it's the little one so I can skate with it fine I think.

No idea how to raise money for this, I'll have a think!!!

What an awesome weekend!!! Basically playing with toy cars with Max and my Dad.

So this week two scary things.....tomorrow is scan results and review for NHS. Basically CeGaT GmbH in Germany reviewed and had test results....these were different, it was all about my body genetics "learning" from the treatment.

The NHS review tomorrow is following a MRI a few weeks ago....so we don't want growth, a new tumour or any surprises!!!

So that's one scary thing.....but I'm going to do a separate post as I want positive vibes!!!!

Anyway, good vibes for tomorrows review!

Max did incredible!
He didn't get a chance to race his car before! The motor mounts were being picked up at the event so little stress to finish his car.

Max and I were in the Dad's and Lads, the Hopper class (2wd with beam rear axle) and I was also in the Wheelie race.

The "lads" won the Dad's and Lads races, in my Wheelie race I did pretty bad, and in the Hopper class I made in into the C Final, which I won, Max got into the A Final, and got 4th out of 8!

Max, Dad and I had a wicked day, such a laugh and we can't wait for the next race!
