Happy 100th birthday to resident at Hallmark Midford Manor, Geraldine. 🎂

Surrounded by family, Geraldine enjoyed a wonderful day of celebrations at the home, marking an incredible milestone with the people closest to her.

The celebrations were made even more memorable with a very special birthday card from The King and The Queen, personally delivered by the Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset.

Today at Lakeview, we’re celebrating an extraordinary milestone as resident Ethel turns 117 - and continues to hold the incredible title of the world’s oldest living person.

Ethel chose to celebrate her special day surrounded by family and friends, enjoying a homemade birthday cake, a delicious curry and entertainment from her favourite singer.

Reflecting on turning 117, Ethel said: “Thank you for all of the kind birthday wishes. Even at 117, I’ve had many firsts this year, from stroking a llama to holding hands with the King! I’ve had a lovely day celebrating with my family and friends, and I look forward to seeing what next year brings!”

This September, we're launching a brand-new apprenticeship programme, offering 32 paid placements for 18 to 21-year-old college leavers across our homes in England.

With a starting salary of £23,000, funded qualifications up to Level 5, experienced mentors and access to our award-winning Grow leadership programme, apprentices will have the opportunity to earn while they learn and build a rewarding career making a real difference to people's lives.

What a wonderful two weeks we had celebrating Hallmark in Bloom! 🌸🌿

From colourful flower beds and thriving vegetable patches to peaceful seating areas and carefully tended planters, every garden tells a story. Most importantly, they've highlighted the joy that gardening brings to residents, creating opportunities to connect, stay active, spend time outdoors and enjoy nature together.

A huge thank you to all of our residents and team members who have worked so hard to create and care for these wonderful spaces. You should all be incredibly proud.
