Are you currently stuck in the "University Waiting Room"? 🧳

Your teen is about to leave, and your whole family is on the edge of a massive step change.

It’s one thing to support their studies and celebrate their achievements - it’s quite another to adjust to the reality of actually saying goodbye.

And that anxiety works both ways. Even the most excited new undergraduate (sounds funny to say that out loud, doesn't it?!) is likely feeling a quiet mix of excitement and total panic.

If you’re riding an emotional rollercoaster right now, remember: mixed emotions are completely normal.

Think back to their first day of primary school. We could walk them to the gate, but we couldn't sit with them in the classroom. Leaving for uni is the exact same milestone - just on a much bigger scale.

Lean into this transition. Use everything you’ve learned about managing change in the past to help you navigate this next chapter.

And if it all feels a bit too much? Practice what you’ve spent years teaching your kids: ask for help.

How Coaching Helps Right Now:
I provide 1:1 coaching for teens and young adults to help them build confidence, navigate independence, and handle the emotional weight of big transitions - giving you peace of mind while they take their next big step.

As a mum, I've walked this walk as well - if you are a mum who would appreciate some support right now or in the next few weeks - I'm here for you too.

Supporting your teen or young adult doesn't mean having all the answers yourself. Giving them space to learn from an outside mentor helps them branch out on their own terms.

Coaching gives them a dedicated space to:

Build self-awareness and practical confidence
Process stress and map out their own next steps
Develop life skills for real independence

Send a DM to book a free 15-minute "parent-to-parent" chat to see how we can support them together.

So good to see you sharing the messages of HOPE once again 😊

So good to see you sharing the messages of HOPE once again 😊

🎒 Back to school… and for some, the start of a whole new chapter 💛

Today, children and young people across our community are heading back to school.

For some, it’s a familiar classroom, familiar faces and getting back into routine. But for others, today means walking through the doors of secondary school for the very first time.

New building. New teachers. New classmates. New expectations. Sometimes even figuring out where on earth you’re supposed to be going! 😅

It’s exciting, but it can also feel incredibly overwhelming.

If your child came home buzzing with excitement today, wonderful. If they came home exhausted, emotional, quiet, anxious, or said they hated every minute of it, that’s okay too. One day doesn’t define how this new chapter will go.

And to the parents and carers who have spent the day wondering how they’re getting on… we see you too. 💛

Give them time to find their feet. Listen when they want to talk, give them space when they don’t, and remember that settling into something new takes time.

From everyone at HOPE Charity Project, we’re wishing all our children, young people and families a positive start to the new school year.

You’ve got this. 🌱💛

There's a lot going on in the teenage world.
As their parent, you know it only too well.

If you are parenting a teen or young adult who could benefit from guidance outside of the family dynamic, save this post.

I am a professional, friendly and experienced coach.
A few short weeks of focussed support can make a world of difference to the teen or young adult in your life.

Are they ready to look at how to:
Make clearer decisions
Grow in self-confidence
Manage change better

You don't have to navigate this alone. And nor do they.

When the time is right, send a DM or call to book a free 15-minute "parent-to-parent" chat.

Hello everyone.

As we approach the end of the summer holidays and the start of a new season, we are now looking for warmer clothing suitable for autumn and winter.

It’s been a very beautiful summer, but we all know those colder days will soon be on their way!

We would be incredibly grateful for donations of season-appropriate clothing that is in excellent, clean condition, with no stains or damage, ready to be passed onto the families we support. 💗💙
We are in URGENT need of prams, single and doubles, these must be suitable from birth and in a safe condition.

We are also in need of some other items, which are listed below.

Due to the space we have available, we can only accept the items listed at this time, so please do check before bringing donations to us.

As always, a huge thank you for your kindness and continued support. It really does mean so much to us and to all the families we help across West Sussex.
