Cortisol isn’t a simple “stress score”.👇

A single blood cortisol result usually tells you very little about day-to-day stress, because cortisol naturally rises and falls across the day.
A 4-point salivary cortisol test can give more context by showing your daily cortisol rhythm, such as whether your pattern looks broadly typical or flatter than expected.

But it still can’t diagnose burnout, measure exactly how stressed you are, or explain symptoms on its own.

Results need to be interpreted alongside sleep, symptoms, illness, medication, training load, shift work, and what’s actually going on in your life.
