A fresh new week, and a fresh new trim and spaniel client on the books 🥰😍

Meet Ziggy!! Ziggy by name, Ziggy by nature when it came to his paws. He was zigzagging to avoid me doing them 😂

Good job the air con did the trick today as I think he would have got me working up a sweat with the extra workout. 🥵

Isn't he handsome though ❤️

To everyone booked in this week, I will be working within my limits, if at any point I feel the heat is too much to groom in, I will rearrange for a cooler day!

Your dogs comfort and safety is Number one priority over a hair cut.

I do have my air con unit, however this will be the first year working with it in the cabin so I have no idea how it will cope.

On another note. If I can keep the temperature okay in the cabin, you must be able to safely get your dogs to me in a car with air con! Hot dogs turning up before a groom will not help the situation.

If your dog also hates travelling and is likely to turn up stressed due to this. Again its best to come on a cooler day as they will work themselves up into a sweat before I even open the door to them.

Please please put your dogs first.

Guuuuuyyyyssss!! This rain needs to stop!

This handsome cocker puppy came in for his groom today and brought enough confidence for about six dogs.

He was sweet. He was friendly. He was full of charm.

He was also absolutely convinced that his paws should remain exactly as nature intended. 😂

For such a little guy, he had some very big feelings about the whole situation and wasn't afraid to share them.

Thankfully puppy grooms are all about building trust and getting them used to the process.

His mum later sent me a photo of him completely crashed out in the car on the way home, so I think it's safe to say all that protesting was exhausting. 😂🤍

And just look at him... I think you'll agree he's worth every bit of the drama 🐾

Swipe to see the transformation ✂️🐾

This little man arrived looking like he'd been living in the wilderness for a few weeks... and left looking rather handsome if I do say so myself 🤍

Grooming-wise, he was what I'd describe as a sensitive soul.

The brush? SCREAM

The clippers? SCREAM

A slight change in air pressure? SCREAM

Me simply existing nearby? Also SCREAM 😂

We took things nice and slowly, worked at his pace, and despite his dramatic commentary throughout, he was an absolute sweetheart.

Bonus points for eventually allowing me to do his ears, which was apparently a very big ask indeed. 🤣

Safe to say he left looking fabulous... even if he thinks he's survived a major ordeal. ✨

Wowzers! Where did this weather come from!! Someone has hit the summer button 🤣🥵

Remember to keep those dogs chilled! If you need to walk them. Get them out earlier. Beach walks are always great as they have the luxury of cooling off in the sea.

Remember to check tide times and dog bans as they are now in full swing!

Plenty of tools to keep them chilled at home. Dark room, fans, cooling mats ect

Check out your local pet shops have some great options in along with cooling vests. Which i swear by!!

I may not be grooming over the bank holiday but I'm here for any questions or advice or to book in 🙂

Have a great bank holiday all ... get those 💪 out and get the bbq on 😆
