Today's work. The Knights Templar were warrior monks founded around 1119, sworn to protect pilgrims travelling to the Holy Land and known across medieval Europe for the red cross on a white surcoat.
And here's the bit most people don't clock — that same red cross on white is St George's Cross, the flag of England. England adopted it as a national symbol partly through the Crusades and the Templar legacy, so when you fly the England flag, you're flying a piece of that history. ⚔️
This piece pairs detailed black-and-grey realism on the knight with bold red work breaking out behind him for that halo effect. Skull and shield at the base, standing guard. 🛡️

Fresh Spartan piece finished today — black and grey realism with deep red accents to bring the armour and cloak to life.
Really enjoyed building the contrast in this one and giving it that battle-worn feel without losing the clean readability from a distance.
A timeless subject that always hits hard when done right. 🛡️

Sometimes less really is more. 🖤
Three tiny pieces done yesterday at Numinous a solid black cat silhouette, a delicate fine line bouquet, and a sun with florals on the inner arm. Small doesn't mean simple. Placement, proportion, and clean lines matter just as much on a piece this size as they do on a full sleeve.
Fine line work still needs to be done right correct sizing, clean ex*****on, and understanding how ink sits in skin. A lot of what you see out there is too small, too tight, or just poorly placed, and it falls apart fast. These won't.

Medusa — cursed for being a victim, feared for her pain, turned into a monster for the crime of suffering.
In Greek mythology she wasn't born a monster. She was made one. And yet she became one of the most powerful symbols in history — of protection, of female rage, of surviving what was done to you and wearing it as armour.
Fresh black and grey upper arm piece completed today. Honoured to put this one on.
