Supporting employees through major medical treatment isn’t just a wellbeing priority, it’s a business priority.

At QuestPrehab, we are proud to offer a clinically led, AI‑enabled digital prehabilitation programme designed specifically for employees facing cancer treatment, major surgery or other significant medical interventions.

Our approach is simple: better preparation leads to better outcomes for people and for organisations.

With personalised, continuously adjusted support from licensed clinicians (not health coaches), employees receive guidance on strength, nutrition, mental wellbeing and recovery at the moment they need it most. It complements existing health plans, fills the gaps traditional services can’t reach, and helps people stay engaged and resilient during a challenging time.

For employers, this means:
• improved employee wellbeing
• reduced absence and disruption
• measurable ROI and long‑term impact
• a more supported, confident workforce

More organisations are recognising that proactive, evidence‑based support isn’t a “nice to have”, it’s essential.

If you’d like to explore how digital prehab can strengthen your workforce, we’re here to help.

As cancer services face increasing demand and complexity, prehabilitation is emerging as a key intervention to improve treatment tolerance, outcomes, and pathway efficiency.

Watch this short video to see why this approach is being used and how it could support improved outcomes and operational stability.

Cancer treatment can be physically and emotionally overwhelming.

The weeks before surgery or therapy really matter. Even small improvements in strength, nutrition, confidence and resilience can make a meaningful difference to recovery.

That’s why prehabilitation is becoming such an important part of modern cancer care. When patients feel better prepared, operations are less likely to be delayed, complications can be reduced, and people often regain independence sooner.

We’re proud to be supporting cancer teams to make this a reality, helping more patients access the benefits of prehab at a time when it matters most.

Some really meaningful catch ups and conversations at QuestPrehab this week with one main focus at the core: more people should be able to benefit from prehabilitation!

Tara met up with Helen and William from IHSN Healthcare to reflect on the work already underway in China and the opportunities ahead as Helen prepares for her next visit. It’s incredible to see how far this collaboration has travelled, literally and figuratively and how many more patients could be supported through stronger preparation before major treatment.

At the same time, our marketing lead Rhi spent time with PR expert Kevin exploring how we can raise wider awareness of prehab here in the UK, making sure the message reaches the people and organisations who stand to benefit most.

Different conversations, same purpose: making prehab visible, accessible and understood.

Onwards. ✨

Cancellations aren’t just frustrating, they’re one of the biggest hidden pressures in the NHS.

Every missed operation means lost theatre time, longer waiting lists, and patients who must rebuild confidence all over again.

That’s why our work with Orpington Hospital Orthopaedics is so important.

By supporting patients awaiting hip and knee surgery with digital prehabilitation, we’re helping more people arrive physically and mentally ready for their procedure, reducing the risk of last‑minute cancellations and supporting smoother recovery.

Better preparation means better outcomes. And better outcomes mean a more resilient elective care system.

With rising demand for orthopaedic surgery, helping patients prepare well has never mattered more.

Digital prehab offers a practical, scalable way to build a reliable pool of “surgery‑ready” patients - supporting better outcomes and more resilient elective services.

This carousel highlights what digital prehab actually does for patients in the weeks before surgery.

Following the launch of our new orthopaedic trial at Orpington Hospital, we’re shining a light on why this work is so important for patients awaiting hip and knee replacement surgery.

Dr Swinda Esprit, Clinical Director for Surgery and Anaesthetics at Orpington Hospital, captured the heart of this initiative perfectly:

“Prehabilitation is not an ‘add‑on’ - it's a critical part of improving surgical outcomes and protecting elective capacity. By trialling a digital prehab model through QuestPrehab, we can support patients to become physically and mentally ready for surgery while reducing last‑minute cancellations. This approach aligns clinical quality with operational resilience, which is exactly what elective services need right now.”

Her words reflect a growing recognition across the NHS: preparing patients before surgery is just as important as the procedure itself. By helping people build strength, confidence, and readiness, we can improve recovery, reduce avoidable delays, and keep elective pathways moving.

This trial is an exciting step toward a more proactive, patient‑centred model of care - one that blends clinical excellence with smarter, more resilient service delivery.

💫 New digital prehab trial launches at Orpington Hospital 💫

Orpington Hospital has begun a new orthopaedic trial using QuestPrehab to help hip and knee replacement patients get truly “surgery ready”.

The patients will use the QuestPrehab app for tailored exercise, nutrition, psychological support and sleep optimisation, all designed to reduce on‑the‑day cancellations, improve recovery and support NHS elective productivity.

The trial aligns with GIRFT, NHS England perioperative priorities, and King’s College Hospital’s digital‑first ambitions, creating a more consistent pool of optimised patients ready for surgery.

As Dr Swinda Esprit said:
“Prehabilitation is not an ‘add‑on’it’s a critical part of improving surgical outcomes and protecting elective capacity.”

This model is set to scale across orthopaedics and other surgical specialties, supporting wider elective recovery.
