Something as simple as sending a text, a photo together from your memories or even a song you think they might like. It doesn't have to be a conversation you feel awkward about.
There are plenty resources online with how to start a conversation about su***de. are great and available 24/7 all year. They can help you start the conversation and if you are feeling suicidal yourself they can also help.
If you do have thoughts of harming yourself please get help immediately- go to A&E, call 111, speak to your GP or someone you trust.

Yeah, so I've gained weight instead of lost it when I'm supposed to be moving more🤦🏽‍♀️🤪. I've acknowledged that life is pretty hard right now and I'm trying to do too much as per always... so I'll start again this week. Think I might need to readjust my action plan, but we move. On the bright side... I'm up to 65 days on Duolingo 😅👌🏼

Gratitude can make a big difference; encourages you to think positively, it grounds you, distracts you from all that's going wrong, creates more things for you to be grateful for plus more.
The key is to aim for 10 things, either first thing in the morning or just before bed. Though I must say, 3/10 after lunch is better than none at all 😜
1) I am grateful that I woke up this morning
2) I am grateful that I managed to practice self-care and look after my health and Wellbeing today, despite having a packed schedule
