Do you need a skin boosters or a biostimulator? With so many treatment options it’s easy to get overwhelmed with the choices! They do share some overlapping benefits.
The biggest difference is what they're designed to do.
Skin boosters typically contain hyaluronic acid and amino acids. Their primary role is to hydrate the skin from within, improving skin quality, glow and plumpness. As hydration levels increase, fine lines and wrinkles may appear softened, resulting in smoother, healthier-looking skin.
Biostimulators, on the other hand, often contain ingredients such as poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) or calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA). Rather than focusing on hydration, they work by stimulating your body's own collagen and elastin production, helping to improve skin firmness, structure and overall quality over time.
While skin boosters can provide a mild degree of biostimulation, they don't typically induce the same level of collagen production or inflammatory response as biostimulators
So in simple terms: skin boosters hydrate, while biostimulators regenerate. Both can improve skin quality but they do it in different ways.
