The good, the bad, the ugly.
I reflected on it all.

For most of my life, I was incredibly hard on myself.

I noticed everything from a young age.

❤️‍🩹The body hair that made me feel embarrassed.🙈
❤️‍🩹The skin breakouts that knocked my confidence.
❤️‍🩹The thoughts I carried around that told me that I wasn’t quite good enough.

I spent years focusing on my flaws instead of appreciating all that was already good about me.

It’s like there was always something that needed ”fixing”

But I’ve learned over the years that confidence doesn’t come from waking up one day and magically loving yourself.

It comes from keeping the promises you make to yourself.

It comes from deciding you’re worth the time, effort and investment.

For me, that looked like finally tackling the things that genuinely bothered me.

Laser hair removal gave me freedom from something that had made me feel self-conscious since I was just 12. So at 22 I tackled this first.

Tailored to me skincare has been a game changer from my late 20’s- early 30’s. It’s helped me stop hiding behind makeup and start feeling comfortable in my own skin again. Now when I’m in my 40’s makeup is purely an option.

But there was still something missing. And about 5 years ago, I discovered reiki through which I made some major life changing breakthroughs by tackling the things nobody could see. The stress, the overwhelm, the emotional baggage, self doubt…. The list goes on!

None of these things changed who I am.

But they helped me become more of who I was always meant to be.

Now I help other women get their confidence back by not just treating what’s showing up externally on their skin, but also helping them let go of what’s weighing them down internally too.

Because life changes when you stop picking yourself apart and start taking care of yourself instead.
