Learning Disability Week at Walsall 💃🎉

Last week, participants enjoyed a packed day of activities, with our Easy Cook Club and finishing with a disco.

Everyone got hands on in the kitchen, building confidence and learning new skills before hitting the dance floor to celebrate Learning Disability Week together. 🎶

There was plenty of laughter, great food and lots of dancing throughout the day.

We're looking for a CYP Co-Ordinator to help lead our Children and Young People's Service.

You'll support the delivery of activities and short breaks for children and young people with disabilities and additional needs, lead and develop a team of Support Workers and work closely with families, schools and other professionals to ensure children receive the support they need.

If you're organised, motivated and passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people, we'd love to hear from you.

Today we hosted our Community Connect Day in Sutton Coldfield as part of Learning Disability Week. 💜

The event brought together people with a learning disability, family members, carers, local NHS services and support organisations for a day of activities, information and community connections.

It was fantastic to see people stopping by to chat, take part and find out more about the support available in their local area.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and to Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust for partnering with us on the event.

Sizzling Highlights from Easy Cook Club ✨🍳

The kitchen has been buzzing at our Easy Cook Club sessions ran by ChangeKitchen CIC in Birmingham and Walsall!

From chopping colourful vegetables and preparing ingredients to cooking a delicious noodle stir-fry, everyone got stuck in and showed fantastic teamwork. These sessions are all about building confidence, learning practical cooking skills and having fun while creating something tasty to enjoy together.

It's been brilliant to see participants trying new things, supporting each other and taking pride in the meals they've made. 👏
