I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives.

I am doing race for life this year to celebrate my mom who battled ovarian cancer, my mom was diagnosed in december 2004 at age 39 years old on New Year’s Eve our lives changed myself and my my mom was in Asda where she felt a sharp pain in her stomach, which we now knew was the cyst rupturing. we went home and she explained to my dad she didn’t feel well and didn’t feel right, my dad took her to A&E where she under went tests and they found out that she had 2 ovarian cysts which were cancerous one was the size of the basketball and weighing over 14lb and another small cyst, she under went surgery a few days later where they performed a full hysterectomy and my mom was on the road to recovery, I am doing the Sutton Coldfield 5k 2024 to raise money for this charity and also a celebration of my mom been 20 years cancer free. , which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives.
