🚨 Would you know what to do if your baby was choking? 🚨

It’s one of the biggest fears for parents, grandparents and anyone caring for a little one. In those frightening moments, knowing the difference between back slaps and chest thrusts could make all the difference.

The good news? These are simple skills that anyone can learn.

As a midwife, I believe every parent should feel confident and prepared, not frightened and helpless. Learning baby first aid doesn’t mean you expect something to happen—it means you’re ready if it does.

A couple of hours spent learning these lifesaving skills can give you confidence that lasts for years.

No parent wants to imagine their baby choking, but every parent deserves to know what to do if it happens. 💙

Have you done your baby first aid course yet?

If not, what’s stopping you? 👇

💙 Rescue Breaths ……A Skill Every Parent Hopes They’ll Never Need 💙

As parents, we spend so much time learning how to feed, settle and care for our babies, but would you know what to do if your child stopped breathing?

Rescue breaths are one of the most important skills taught in Baby First Aid. They can help get oxygen to a baby or child whose breathing has stopped and can quite literally buy precious time until help arrives.

The good news? They are simple to learn, practise and remember.

I truly believe that every parent, grandparent and caregiver should know the basics of infant and child CPR. Not because emergencies are common, but because confidence and knowledge can make all the difference if the unthinkable happens.

Hopefully you’ll never need to use these skills. But if you do, you’ll be so grateful you learned them.

💕 Because when it comes to our children, being prepared is one of the greatest gifts we can give them.
