✨Time for an upgrade ✨

Permanent dreadlock extensions are a great option if you want to add extra length to your existing, or newly created, dreadlocks.
I always recommend good quality, ethically sourced human hair for your extensions or 100% British Wool as a fabulous alternative natural fibre 🐑

Synthetic fibre can also be used, and is a less expensive option compared to human hair, however it is important to consider that this is essentially plastic and not the best long term option, nor is any good for the planet 🌍

This beautiful soul came to the studio for a little bit of maintenance and to swap out her synthetic extensions for human hair ones after having them in for almost a year. We also added a few temporary double ended woolies for a splash of colour and just like that, upgrade complete! Gorgeous!✨

This one was a labour of love 💖

This true Rastafarian has had his locks for over four decades and over time at least ten of them had merged together to create one big loc. This is not strictly a problem as locs will do what they want if left to their own devices, but the placement of the big loc was causing discomfort and so a trip to the studio was needed.

Ten hours later (over four sessions) and the one loc became three with all the lovely congos retained. New growth and a couple of locs underneath were tidied up and became three whilst the rest of the roots were treated to a refreshing root tidy.

It took a lot of trust for this client to allow someone to work on their hair and I am honoured that they chose me. They even braved a little decoration for the first time ever for an upcoming reggae festival 🎶

Talk about job satisfaction, it doesn't get much better than this!💖

I recently had the absolute honour of creating three rows of permanent partial dreadlocks for this beautiful new dreadhead 🥰

I used 100% British wool to handmake these super soft textured wool dreadlocks and carefully crocheted them on to the ends of her own hair. She had seen these colours in one of my earlier posts and fell in love with the combination. During her initial consultation we couldn't believe how perfectly the red matched her own hair colour! - it was meant to be 💖

They were originally inspired from colours from the North York Moors and this made her love them even more!
