We’ve got 12 gritters covering 323 miles of priority routes across Gateshead, supported by a dedicated team who shovel snow and hand-grit pavements to keep everyone moving. πŸ’ͺ🏻

Please remember:
🚘 Grit takes time to work, especially in the early morning as it needs traffic movement to be activated.
🚘 Drive carefully and allow extra time for your journey

There are also hundreds of yellow grit bins located across Gateshead, free for public use - these are usually located on the footpath at the entrance to residential streets - we encourage everyone to responsibly use them on your street and help keep your neighbourhood safe. πŸ’š

Let's work together to keep our communities safe and moving! 🀝
