Something for you:
As autumn approaches (or is it here already 🤔) its a good time to look to supporting the immune system. A Rest and Restore session works with the autonomic nervous system and can:
reduce fluid retention and congestion,
can be beneficial following infections and help with sinus conditions, lethargy / lack of energy.
It can be used for general relaxation but can also support those with autoimmune conditions and cancer. Using gentle specific touch it induces a state of rest allowing the body to reset which can in turn reduce stress.
When there is a disruption to our lymphatic system it can cause lethargy/fatigue, sluggishness, fluid retention, swelling, bloating, digestion issues, sinus blockage, headaches and ongoing inflammatory issues.

​Unlike other methods EMMETT technique is done fully clothed.
Other differences compared to MLD (manual lymphatic drainage):
EMMETT uses light pressure applied to specific EMMETT points to trigger the body's natural response and improve lymphatic flow
Using minimal light touch, focusing on the body's reflexes to prompt flow, these sessions are often shorter than MLD with results sometimes felt immediately.
​As with other techniques the aim is to support lymphatic/immune health but EMMETT focuses more on stimulating neuromuscular triggers, whilst MLD is based on manual continuous lymphatic flow stimulation.

I personally use the floor cleaner in my carpet washer and it is embarrassingly effective 😳 even better is the fact I’m not worried about the dogs absorbing harsh chemicals through their paws and skin

For anyone feeding Years please be aware of a product recall. However please read the first comment I will add to this from Honeys a well established highly recommended dog food producer and their thoughts on this recall…..see comments

Following the voluntary recall of all Years Fresh Meals, we know your first thought will be for your dog, whether they’re safe, what you should feed them and how you can continue caring for them.

To be clear, this recall is a precaution. Our investigation has identified a potential link between buckwheat, an ingredient used in many dog foods, and reported cases of dry eye. Lab testing will confirm this, but we've taken the decision not to wait.

Dogs' health & wellbeing have always driven us, and that means acting now rather than waiting for absolute certainty.

Please stop feeding any Years Signature Meals immediately, even if your dog seems well. When choosing an alternative, we recommend continuing with complete & balanced fresh food with wholefood ingredients.

When you fill up that paddling pool do you consider whats in there? Likely our dogs are bathing and drinking from the pool. Chlorine and fluoride can upset the gut biome so as well as considering the ingenious product below for keeping the water cleaner for longer, I’d go one step further and add a filter to the tap (better for your plants too, oh and if you’ve got kids, let’s not forget them 😜).

Did you know the EMMETT lymphatic drainage technique, part of my Rest & Restore, and Emotional ReBalance protocols, was found to improve cognitive function in a study carried out by the Carl Remigius Medical School Limburger, Germany. They also found improvement in sleep and mental wellbeing:

Key findings from the study

The study involved 26 participants aged 65 and older with mild to moderate dementia. Divided into two groups, the ‘intervention’ group received 30 minute EMMETT Lymphatic Drainage sessions twice a week for four weeks, while the ‘control’ group continued with their standard care.

Results showed promising improvements in the intervention group:

Sleep quality: participants found falling asleep easier and has longer sleep durations
Cognitive function: participants had increased scores in memory tests
Daily performance: participants had enhanced physical and mental wellbeing
In contrast, the control group either experienced no improvement or showed slight declines

This process supports the brain's glymphatic system, helping to remove toxins. By enhancing waste removal, the EMMETT lymphatic drainage technique may reduce inflammation and promote better neurological health.
