And just like that: it's the last bank holiday of the summer. 🌞

Whatever your plans for this long weekend, I hope they involve something that genuinely fills you up. Whether that's a walk somewhere beautiful, a lazy morning with nowhere to be, a garden full of people you love, a spontaneous day out or simply the rare and precious pleasure of doing absolutely nothing in particular.
You've made it through the summer. The school holidays, the juggling, the heat, the packed schedules. You deserve a proper rest - and this weekend is your permission slip.

From me to you: have a wonderful long weekend. Rest if you need to. Play if you want to. And come back in September ready for all the good things I have planned, because there is plenty to look forward to. 👀

Enjoy every moment. You've earned it. 🌞💛

The back to school displays are in the shops, the uniform is washed and labelled and the summer holiday countdown is firmly on. Which means one thing: September is on it’s way. 📚☀️

And while September is traditionally associated with new beginnings for children, I often get that ‘fresh start’ feeling myself, too. There's something about the shift from summer into autumn that feels naturally energising, perhaps a return to routine, a sense of purpose, a readiness to commit to things that got a little lost over the holiday weeks.

If your fitness routine went sideways over summer (entirely understandable and very normal) September is your moment to pick it back up. If you've been meaning to book a skincare consultation, try a new class, access the on demand video library or simply do something that's just for you, September is your fresh page.

It’s also a great time to start a 90-day focus: start in September and be ready for Christmas in style!

New term energy isn't just for the children. It's for us too.
Don’t wait.

Happy World Photo Day! 📸 And in the spirit of the occasion, a question I get asked fairly often: how do I always look so comfortable in photographs?

The honest answer has very little to do with angles or filters (though good lighting never hurts). It comes down to feeling well in my skin. Genuinely, consistently, from the inside out.

When your skin is healthy and properly looked after, when your make-up is working with your skin rather than against it, when you feel strong and energised in your body, that shows in photographs in a way that is very hard to fake.

Summer photographs in particular can be unforgiving: the bright light, the heat, the make-up that's slid by lunchtime. But with the right skincare routine for the season, the right SPF (I wear factor 30 on my face every single day, without exception) and make-up formulas that are genuinely built for warmth and wear, you can look in those summer photos and actually like what you see.

This is exactly what I help people with, whether that's a skincare consultation, summer make-up advice or professional make-up for an occasion.

If photos are something you dread rather than enjoy, let's change that. Drop me a message and let's talk about what might help. 📸

I am so proud of these. 💄✨
This is what professional wedding and occasion make-up is really about - not a mask, not a transformation, but every person looking and feeling like the most luminous, confident version of themselves. Make-up that photographs beautifully in any light, lasts through an entire day of celebrating and still looks polished in the evening shots.

Every face in these photos is different - different skin tone, different colouring, different features - and that is exactly as it should be. My job is never to make everyone look the same. It's to make each person look uniquely, unmistakably brilliant.

If you have a wedding, celebration or special occasion coming up - for yourself, a daughter, a bridal party or any group who want to feel truly special on the day - I would absolutely love to be part of it.

Autumn and winter bookings are available now. Drop me a message or head to the link in bio to enquire. 💄✨

Afternoon Tea Week: now there is a wellness observance I can fully get behind! 🍰

There is something wonderfully, quintessentially British about the ritual of afternoon tea. The slowing down. The proper cups. The tiny sandwiches that somehow feel more elegant than a full meal. The delicious cake that nobody feels guilty about because it is such a delicate size...

Joking aside, the ritual of pausing in the middle of the day, sitting with someone whose company you enjoy, stepping away from screens to simply be present with a pot of tea and something delicious is genuinely good for you. Connection. Rest. A moment of pleasure. These things matter.

If you've been meaning to treat yourself or someone you love, this week feels like the perfect excuse.
(And before anyone asks: yes, the scone absolutely counts as self-care. Clotted cream and all.)

This was Mum and my girls celebrating Mothers Day with afternoon tea earlier this year. We went to Oriel on the quay in Poole Dorset. I’d definitely recommend them. Great service and excellent food.

Where's your favourite spot for afternoon tea in Hampshire? Tell me in the comments’ I'm always looking for recommendations! 👇

It's International Cat Day! I’m actually allergic to cat fur but I can 100% still appreciate them and how smart they are 🐱

Think about it: they sleep when they need to sleep, deeply and without apology. They stretch luxuriously and often. They sit in patches of sunlight for no other reason than that it feels good. They set boundaries with complete confidence. They eat when they're hungry and stop when they're not. And they take up exactly as much space as they need.

There's something quietly instructive about the complete absence of guilt a cat brings to self-care. No cat has ever cut short a nap because they felt they should be doing something more productive. No cat has ever skipped their stretch because they didn't have time.

This summer, perhaps the most radical wellness practice available to us is simply giving ourselves permission to rest when we're tired, move when it feels good and stop apologising for taking up space.

Do you have a cat? Show me in the comments: pet pictures are always welcome here. 🐱👇

August is National Wellness Month and I can't think of a better moment to ask: how are you actually doing?
Not 'fine', not 'busy', not 'getting there'. Actually doing? 💛

Wellness is one of those words that gets thrown around so much it can start to feel meaningless but at its core it's beautifully simple. It's the ongoing, everyday practice of looking after yourself. Your body. Your skin. Your energy. Your mind. Not perfectly, not obsessively, just consistently and with genuine care.

This month I want to use this space to talk honestly about what that looks like in real life for women in their 40s and beyond who are juggling work, family, relationships and approximately forty-seven other things simultaneously.

Because wellness doesn't have to be complicated. It doesn't have to be expensive. And it absolutely doesn't have to look like anyone else's version of it.
It just has to be yours.

What does wellness mean to you right now, in this season of your life? I'd love to know - drop your answer in the comments. 👇💛

Today is the International Day of Friendship - and it prompted me to think about something that doesn't get nearly enough attention in the wellness conversation: how much our relationships affect our physical health. 💛
Not metaphorically. Literally.

Research consistently shows that people with strong social connections have lower rates of anxiety and depression, stronger immune systems, better cardiovascular health and - perhaps most strikingly - significantly greater longevity than those who are more isolated. Loneliness, by some measures, carries health risks comparable to smoking fifteen ci******es a day.

Friendship is not a luxury. It is a genuine pillar of wellbeing.

One of the things I love most about what I do is that it brings people together. Clients who came for a fitness class and stayed for the community. Women who arrived not knowing anyone and left with people who genuinely cheer them on. The WhatsApp messages, the encouragement, the shared milestones.
That is not a side effect of what I do. It is part of the point.

Today, reach out to someone you've been meaning to contact. Make the plan you keep putting off. Show up for the people who matter, and let them show up for you.
And if you're looking for a community of brilliant women in Hampshire who will absolutely have you, my door is open. 💛

Who is the friend who always has your back? Give them a mention in the comments today. 👇
