Slow down…… be more connected!!!! In a world that constantly encourages us to do more, consume more and stay connected, sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is slow down.

A nervous system reset doesn’t have to be complicated.

✨ A few minutes of conscious breathwork
✨ A yoga practice that helps you reconnect with your body
✨ Quiet moments without screens or distractions
✨ A walk in nature with no earphones, no podcasts and no music

Just you.

Listening to the birds. Feeling the breeze. Noticing your surroundings. Being present with your thoughts rather than trying to drown them out.

So many of us spend our days overstimulated and disconnected from ourselves. We move from one task to the next without ever truly checking in.

When we create space for stillness, our nervous system has a chance to settle. Stress hormones can begin to reduce, breathing slows, tension softens and we reconnect with what our body is trying to tell us.

You don’t always need another app, another podcast or another distraction.

Sometimes the medicine is simply being present.

Breathe deeply. Move gently. Walk mindfully. Connect back to yourself

Bank holiday vibes = fully embracing the art of doing a little bit of everything!

Attending a Yin yoga class✔️
A little exercise ✔️
BBQ and healthy summer style food ✔️
Cat and chicken sitting 🐈🐔😂✔️
Pool days ✔️
Aqua session in the pool pretending I’m training for the Olympics ✔️
Outdoor sunshine, fresh air and nature ✔️
Chilling listening to the birds and relaxing in the sunshine ✔️

Honestly though… slowing down, moving my body, fuelling my body well and just enjoying simple moments outdoors has been exactly what I needed!

Health and fitness for me has never been about a quick fix, a number on the scales or chasing perfection.

It’s about long term health.
It’s about looking after the body I live in every single day.

I’m grateful every day that I can move my body, build strength, improve my mobility and support my mind through movement. Not because I have to… because I get to.

The way I fuel my body now is no longer about restriction or punishment. It’s about nourishment, energy, recovery and building a body that feels strong and supported for the years ahead.

Every workout, every walk, every nourishing meal and every small choice adds up.

I’m not just investing in how I feel today.
I’m investing in my future health, my independence, my longevity and the quality of life I want to have as I get older.

Girls trip to Ksamil, Albania September 2025

Plane then a boat through Greece then a taxi to reach our destination but definitely worth the journey. A few days of sun, relaxation, amazing food and a really friendly village vibe by the sea.

Crystal clear water, lovely little beach restaurants, chilled evenings and the perfect mix of slowing down and having fun. Sometimes the best memories come from simple moments, sunshine, great company and a little adventure.

Yoga is never just about “getting into the pose.”
The real growth happens in the process before the final shape.

How do we advance the pose?
We slow it down.
We deconstruct each element.
We build strength, mobility, stability and awareness stage by stage.

First we learn the foundations.
Then we refine the breath.
Then alignment.
Then control.
Then transitions.

Only once the body understands the movement pattern do we begin to explore the next level or challenge.

I always encourage students to leave the ego at the door and focus less on the “end pose” and more on how the body feels throughout the journey. That’s where sustainable progress happens.

Progress in yoga isn’t forcing the final shape.
It’s refining the details enough that the pose eventually feels strong, stable and effortless.

The next transition isn’t about pushing harder.
It’s about understanding deeper.

ADDUCTOR MOBILITY CHALLENGE 🔥

Tight inner thighs? Restricted hips?
This 7-move flow is one I use all the time to open up the adductors and improve overall movement quality.

👉 Move through all 7 exercises in order
👉 Focus on control, breath and depth
👉 Exercises 4 & 5 – do BOTH sides

This isn’t about forcing range it’s about earning it.

Stronger, more mobile hips results in better squats, better movement and less strain elsewhere.

Try it, save it and let me know how it feels 🙌

tually works with your body

Tonight’s simple bowl:
• 200g lactose-free Greek yoghurt
• 1 kiwi 🥝
• 6 strawberries 🍓

This is one of my go-to combinations when I want something satisfying, supportive and aligned with my goals.

👉 Protein for repair + muscle support
This bowl delivers around 20g+ of high-quality protein, helping support muscle recovery, maintain lean mass (especially important in menopause) and keep you fuller for longer.

👉 Strawberries = underrated superfood
Packed with antioxidants and vitamin C to support:
• Skin health
• Immune function
• Reducing inflammation

👉 Kiwi = digestive + immune support powerhouse
Kiwis are rich in vitamin C (more than an orange!) and contain natural enzymes that help with digestion and gut health.

👉 Gut + hormone support
The yoghurt provides beneficial bacteria to support gut health, which plays a key role in:
• Hormone balance
• Mood
• Metabolism

Simple. Balanced. Effective.

This is what supporting your body — not restricting it — can look like !
