All Residents have a choice of room when possible and are encouraged to personalise it and make it their home We Care Group provides nursing, residential, dementia and respite care in over 30 specialist care homes throughout England. We develop our staff care colleagues to deliver high quality care and support, providing safe, secure and specialist care to residents so they can live fulfilling, rewarding and happy lives. Our ongoing investment programme means all our homes are well presented and maintained to help our residents feel at home. And we’re opening new homes over the coming years to bring our much-needed services to more locations.

Here at Berwick House, we had a wonderful time celebrating the birthday of one of our lovely ladies! 💕🥳

The afternoon was filled with smiles, laughter and plenty of entertainment from the fabulous Bev, who had everyone joining in and enjoying themselves. 🎶💃

With a surprise visit from a real-life dancing birthday cake! 🎂💃 What a fantastic and fun way to celebrate such a special day!

A huge happy birthday to our lovely lady — we hope you had the most wonderful day filled with happiness, laughter and lots of special memories. ❤️🎈

🎶 FUN AFTERNOON FOOTAGE ALERT! 💃🕺

Sit back, relax and enjoy this little compilation of our fabulous afternoon of singing, dancing and lots of laughter! ❤️

We had such a lovely time when the wonderful Bev came to visit us and entertain everyone. From the very first song, the atmosphere was full of smiles, familiar tunes, dancing and so much joy. 🎤🎶

It was truly lovely to see everyone joining in in their own way — some singing along, some dancing, some tapping their feet, and others simply enjoying watching and listening. 💕 These are the moments we treasure.

For people living with dementia, music can reach places that words sometimes can't. Familiar songs can bring back memories, encourage communication and self-expression, lift mood and create a sense of connection. Dancing and movement can also encourage physical activity, confidence and, most importantly, fun together. 🥰

And we certainly had plenty of fun!

So grab a cuppa, sit back, relax and enjoy watching our afternoon of music, dancing and happy memories! 🎶💃🕺❤️

🧁🍫 A Sweet Afternoon of Baking & Karaoke! 🍫🎤

Yesterday, our residents had a wonderful time baking delicious chocolate cupcakes and getting creative decorating them afterwards! 🧁🎨 There were plenty of smiles, laughter and lots of tasty treats along the way.

The cupcakes turned out absolutely delicious and were enjoyed with a nice cuppa in the afternoon — the perfect treat! ☕️💕

And the fun didn’t stop there! We followed our baking session with a lively afternoon of karaoke, singing along to some favourite tunes and enjoying plenty of laughter and smiles. 🎶🎤😊

Today at Berwick House, residents chose arts and crafts as their activity, enjoying the opportunity to be creative, express themselves and take part at their own pace. 🎨🖌

Arts and crafts can support people living with dementia by encouraging concentration, fine motor skills, communication, confidence, reminiscence and social interaction, while also providing a sense of purpose and achievement.

Following last week’s enjoyable game of bingo, residents requested to play another game today. The bingo session was a great success, with residents enjoying the friendly competition, social interaction and excitement of the game, while also supporting concentration and number recognition. It was lovely to see residents actively involved and having fun together. 🥰

Today, here at Berwick House, we had the pleasure of receiving a beautiful memorial bench purchased by a family in loving memory of their much-loved loved one, who was once a resident with us and is sadly no longer with us. ❤️

The bench will become a huge part of our home and will be treasured by both our team and residents. It will provide a special place to sit, reflect, share memories and remember a truly loved and special person.

The personal engraving, “Forget Me Not,” is such a touching reminder that although they are no longer with us, they will never be forgotten and will always hold a special place in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved them. 🕊️

Berwick House Care Home would like to warmly invite the family to visit anytime, to sit together on the bench, reminisce about their loved one and create new memories in their honour.

A beautiful and lasting tribute to a very special person. ❤️
