That's the feedback received from one clinician following Faith Taylor's first independent shift as a Receptionist at Doncaster Urgent Treatment Centre.

What started as Faith's first solo shift quickly became a challenging day for the service, with increased demand and medical emergencies requiring the attention of clinical teams.

These actions are a fantastic example of the professionalism, compassion and dedication demonstrated by colleagues across FCMS every day. 💙

FCMS employees are the heartbeat of our organisation, and we wouldn't be where we are without them. That's why it's so important that the environment they work in is somewhere they feel comfortable, supported and able to thrive.

Our call centre is an area we've wanted to develop for a long time, and we're excited to finally share the results.

Rather than deciding ourselves what the space should look like, we wanted to hear directly from the people who use it every day. We held staff focus groups with colleagues from the services based in the call centre to understand what they wanted from a new working environment and what changes would make the biggest difference to them.

Using that feedback, we worked with the project team to bring those ideas to life.

The result is a completely transformed space featuring cluster desks to encourage collaboration, electronic desk risers to support wellbeing, FCMS branding throughout, and our brand-new 'Snug' breakout room. Designed to support staff after difficult or emotional calls, the Snug includes ambient lighting, books, calming aromas and even a massage chair.

As our Bowel Cancer Screening Support Pilot reaches its conclusion, we're proud of the positive impact made for people with learning disabilities across the community.

Over the last year we:
🔹 Supported individuals aged 50-74 to access bowel cancer screening
🔹 Worked with over 50 community organisations and healthcare teams
🔹 Delivered awareness events and one-to-one support sessions
🔹 Helped reduce barriers through easy-read resources, demonstrations and tailored guidance

Many people told us they felt more confident and informed about completing their screening test, helping ensure they don't miss out on the opportunity for early detection.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported this pilot, including our community partners, carers, social care colleagues and GP practices. 🙏
