The Niyamas - The second limb in Ashtanga Yoga (not to be confused with ashtanga vinyasa)

Five principles that turn our attention inward, guiding how we relate to ourselves. Saucha invites clarity and cleanliness, Santosha teaches contentment, Tapas encourages discipline and inner fire, Svadhyaya asks us to practise self-study, and Ishvara Pranidhana invites surrender to something greater than ourselves. They remind us that yoga is not simply about changing the body, but about cultivating awareness, acceptance and connection within. 🧡

The Yamas - The First Limb of Ashtanga Yoga (not to be confused with Ashtanga Vinyasa)

Fivve guiding principles for how we move through the world and relate to others. They invite us to practise Ahimsa (non-harming), Satya (truthfulness), Asteya (non-stealing), Brahmacharya (wise use of energy) and Aparigraha (non-attachment). They remind us that yoga isn’t just what happens on our mat; it’s how we speak, act, connect, consume, let go and move through everyday life. 🧡
