Hello June!

The calendar says summer has arrived, although the weather seems to have missed the memo!

This is one of my favourite times of year. The garden is bursting into life — apple blossom, roses beginning to bloom, fresh herbs growing wildly and new scents carried on the breeze.

So many of my products begin here, inspired by the landscape around me and the fragrances that naturally fill the air throughout the seasons.

A quieter weekend for me this week after a busy run of markets, pop-ups and workshop days.

Today will mostly involve catching up on a few slower things — time in the garden, restocking products, enjoying the sunshine and trying to take things a little easier before another busy few weeks ahead.

Small businesses can be wonderfully busy but it’s important to pause sometimes too — especially when the weather is this lovely ☀️

One of the things I love most at this time of year is how much inspiration comes directly from nature.

The garden is suddenly full of colour after all the recent sunshine and rain, herbs are growing quickly and everything feels fresh, green and alive again.

So many Bladnoch Botanics scents begin with moments like this — woodland walks, coastal air, herbs growing in the garden, blossom, sea breeze and changing seasons across Dumfries & Galloway.

As always, the products are made using gentle plant-based ingredients, pure essential oils and sustainable packaging to create everyday luxury inspired by nature 🌿

The workshop has been busy this week with lots of lotions, washes and shampoos being made — and the scent in here at the moment is amazing.

With the warmer weather and sunshine finally arriving, I’ve been focusing on products that help leave skin soft, hydrated and refreshed after days spent outdoors.

I’ve also been preparing more of the smaller travel bottles which have been proving really popular recently. They’re ideal for holidays, overnight stays, gym bags or simply trying a new scent.

What a lovely weekend it has been.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited Bladnoch Botanics at the Old Pharmacy pop-up in Wigtown on Saturday and at Kirkcudbright Farmers' Market yesterday. It was such a pleasure to meet so many customers — old & new, local & visiting — and hear your thoughts on the products and scents.

There’s always something special about chatting in person and seeing which scents people naturally gravitate towards.

Now it’s back to the workshop this week to restock shelves and prepare more products while enjoying this beautiful sunshine.

Thank you again for supporting my small local business — it genuinely means such a lot

The Bladnoch Botanics pop-up shop is nearly ready for a busy Bank Holiday weekend in Wigtown

The shelves are stocked, the travel bottles are prepared, and there will be plenty of natural hand & body care, lotions, shampoos, conditioners and refill options available throughout the weekend.

Wigtown is always a lovely place to visit during Spring Fling, with so many wonderful local artists, makers and exhibitions in and around the town.

A busy Bank Holiday weekend ahead for Bladnoch Botanics.

This Saturday I’ll be opening the Bladnoch Botanics pop-up shop in the Old Pharmacy in Wigtown, and on Sunday I’ll be at Kirkcudbright Farmers' Market

I’m currently working away on smaller travel bottles, which will be available in the new scents this weekend for the first time — perfect for holidays, weekend breaks, guest rooms or simply trying a new scent.

As always, there will be plenty of natural hand & body care, lotions, haircare and refill options available too.
