Some lovely news to finish the week!

I had a great meeting today with Mary-Jane, who has recently taken over at Soleburn Garden Centre with her husband Jack, and I’m delighted that they are now stocking Bladnoch Botanics.

You’ll find our Hand Wash and Hand Lotion there in four scents:

🌿 Bergamot & Ginger
🌿 Basil & Lime
🌿 Rose & Geranium
🌿 Lavender & Rosemary

It’s always lovely to see Bladnoch Botanics finding a new home with another local business, and I’m really pleased to be working with Mary-Jane and Jack.

And after a busy week in the workshop, the car is now packed (rather too quickly for me to remember to take any photos!) and I’m ready for Kirkcudbright Fringe Market tomorrow and Sunday.

The little bottles are proving rather popular!

I’m back in the workshop this week making more of the 100ml range — and will be adding two more scents as soon as the labels arrive:

🌿 Lavender & Rosemary
🍋 Mandarin & Lemongrass

They’re a lovely way to try a new scent, handy for travelling, and a good size if you simply prefer a smaller bottle.

There’s lots being made this week ready for two days at Kirkcudbright Fringe Market this weekend! I’ve also replenished the Seaweed & Aloe Vera Nourishing Cream, which can be used on hands, body and face, so there will be plenty of that available too.

A lovely busy day at Kirkcudbright Farmers Market yesterday — thank you to everyone who stopped by! 💙

It was especially lovely to see such a great response to the new Seaweed & Aloe Nourishing Cream. It’s still very new in my range of products, so hearing your feedback and seeing so many jars heading off is fantastic.

I’ll be back in the workshop this week making plenty more, ready to return to Kirkcudbright for the Fringe Market this Saturday & Sunday. It is also available online for UK delivery (inlcuding Isle of Man & Channel Islands).

It’s been one of those weeks that seems to have disappeared very quickly!

After sorting everything out from Wigtown Market, I’ve been busy making and restocking in the workshop — including plenty more Seaweed & Aloe Nourishing Cream.

Now it’s time to get everything packed up again, as I’ll be at Kirkcudbright Farmers' Market this Sunday.

And somewhere amongst all of that, I’ve started making plans for the Wigtown Book Festival at the end of September...

One market at a time though — Kirkcudbright first! Hope to see some of you there on Sunday.

Back in the workshop and another batch of Seaweed & Aloe Nourishing Cream is underway.

I had such a good response to it at Wigtown Market on Saturday that I’m making sure I have plenty ready for Kirkcudbright Market this weekend.

There will be a tester on the stall on Sunday, so if you've been curious about the new cream you can come along and try it for yourself.

It’s unscented, wonderfully rich and designed for hands, body and face — and I’m really enjoying finally being able to make it in proper batches rather than development samples!

A lovely day at Wigtown Market on Saturday — thank you to everyone who stopped by.

Wigtown was busy and it was great to see lots of familiar faces, as well as meeting plenty of new ones.

I was particularly pleased with the response to the new Seaweed & Aloe Nourishing Cream. I took a good supply with me and came home with rather fewer jars than expected!

Thank you too for all the lovely feedback from those who tried it. After such a long development process, it’s very rewarding to finally have it out on the stall and being used.

Back to the workshop this week to make some more ready for Kirkcudbright Farmers Market next Sunday!

Well, I’ve surprised myself today...!

The labels for my new Seaweed & Aloe Nourishing Cream arrived this afternoon and I’ve managed to get a small first batch made.

There’s just one final job tonight — getting everything properly registered on the government cosmetics portal. If I can get that completed, I’ll have the very first jars with me at The Wigtown Market tomorrow!

After months of development, testing and waiting, I wasn’t quite expecting it to be ready this weekend — so fingers crossed!

Either way, I’ll be back at Wigtown Market tomorrow with plenty of Bladnoch Botanics products and testers. It feels like ages since I’ve been there, so I’m really looking forward to it.

Hopefully I’ll see a few familiar faces — and some new ones too.

See you tomorrow, Wigtown!

There’s a little change of pace in the workshop this week...

The schools go back tomorrow, which somehow means the summer holidays have disappeared already!

I’ve loved having a little more family time over the past few weeks but I’m also looking forward to getting properly back into the workshop routine.

Alongside restocking the shelves, I’m spending quite a bit of time on the new Seaweed & Aloe cream. After months of development and testing, I’m now working through all the final details with the aim of having it ready by the end of August.

There are still labels, packaging, photographs and lots of those little behind-the-scenes jobs to finish... but it’s getting close!

After a busy few weeks of summer shows, markets and a little time away, today is very much a back-to-the-workshop sort of day!

I’m checking what’s left on the shelves, taking stock of bottles, labels and ingredients, and starting to work through the list of everything that needs making again. There are definitely a few gaps after the last few events... which is always a good problem to have. 😊

It has been lovely getting Bladnoch Botanics out and about recently and meeting so many new and returning customers. Thank you to everyone who has stopped by my stall, bought something, picked up a flyer or simply had a chat.

Now it’s time to get the workshop shelves full again — and there’s rather a lot of making to do!
