Monday Morning Mamas Club is our weekly coffee-fuelled village at RUCO café in Blandford - a gorgeous room full of mums, babies, questions, conversations ans connnection.

And this autumn, I want to bring some seriously brilliant women into the room.

Sleep experts. Pelvic health pros. Nutritionists. Feeding support. Women’s health practitioners. Therapists. Baby experts. Creatives. Money women. Career women. Style women. Business owners. Makers. Movers. Shakers.

Basically: if what you know could make motherhood feel easier, lighter, healthier, more informed or more bloody brilliant — come and share it.

She was a customer who came into the shop that I work in one day a week. She had come into to the store today to find a bright and colourful outfit for her friends funeral. As with everyone I say a cheery hello and then be of service when I can. We got talking and she decide to buy a dress, a blouse and a necklace.

When it was time to pay, our conversation had moved on to lifestyles etc. family; her daughter lives in Bali, I said does she do yoga? (I would love to visit and make shapes) I said I have a business and teach pregnaancy yoga and hollstci birth practices and more and she shared she had had home births and asked if I knew of Janet Balaskas Janet Balaskas | Active Birth - which of course I do!!

She shared her thoughts and passions about birth and we told one another we can’t bare the news these days and then she described the vivid feeling of being in transition and at that point having to surrender, giving yourself over to Mother Nature and acknowledging the power of women. At that point we both got goosebumps. We both felt it. The remembering of the alchemy.

We became excited and shared our birth stories and when we came to say goodbye we hugged.

It’s not usual to feel so connected to someone that something makes you want to seal the meeting with physical connection. It felt like an unspoken knowing of the enormity of this life altering and seismic transformation - giving birth in power that I think captivated us. A shared understanding and knowing of the magic and alchemy we had both held and experienced across decades. It was a meeting of two souls and I hope birth brings women together like that over and over again.

My heart feels full and I’m affirmed in the work I do. It matters. It makes a difference and it’s all for you so you can hopefully share a similar meet cute in years to come.

A place to honour the beautiful, breathtaking, utterly transformational season that is the fourth trimester. The postpartum days. Matrescence. The becoming.
After six years of supporting hundreds of women across Dorset and beyond, one thing has become beautifully clear to me. Motherhood doesn't need more pressure. It needs more places where women feel recognised. Where someone looks you in the eye and says, I see you. You're doing brilliantly.
That's what this circle is.
For five weeks we'll move, breathe, stretch out the aches of motherhood, drink tea before it goes cold (well… we'll try), celebrate the wins, untangle the wobbles, and remember that caring for you is every bit as important as caring for your baby.
Because yes, your baby has been born…
…but so have you.
And I can't wait to welcome you both into our circle. 🛖

A day of mega cosmic alignment and these skies feel extra special to me having birthed my firstborn under this blanket of stars 9 years ago and I travelled through th portal from maiden to mother.
The 8th day of the 8th month is the peak of The Lionsgate portal which is a time for magical manifestations and THE time to send those dreams of yours into the universe but there is always the dance of light and shadow (the fears) but right now I want to see how good it can get!! 
 
What to know about this star spiced portal in the sky: 
 🌌 There are 3 major planetary players involved at this auspicious time; the Earth, the Sun and a star known as Sirius.They all line up on this day in the night sky (directly over the Pyramid of Giza!)
⭐ Sirius is a star of legends, known for bestowing wealth, honour, devotion, passion, and powerful creative energiesIn ancient Egypt, the rising of Sirius was directly associated with the rising of the Nile River, which would nourish the land and crops, sustaining life and
🌈Sirius is known as a fixed star, one that is the most visible to us on Earth. We can actually see it with our naked eye! ❗️FUN FACT: although it’s white in colour, Sirius is sometimes called a rainbow star, as it often flickers with many colours. Sirius is also known as the “Spiritual Sun” and shines brighter than our Sun.
 
As our Sun nourishes life forms on Earth by giving heart, warmth and most importantly, energy - Sirius is turning up the heat and nourishes us on a spiritual level. 
With so much twinkling light from above it is the most perfect time to call in our truest hopes for the future.
 
If we look at numerology, the number 8 (it’s a rare triple 8 today) and the number is the vertical movement of the infinity symbol representing limitless power and flows without end. It is the shape of an hourglass a symbol of time and also the shape of the feminine as a chalice. The chalice, a holder for water and women the caretakers of this precious element. The water encompassing the ebb and the flow and the continuous cycles and rhythms of life.

☀️ SUMMER MODE: ON.

Well…

That’s me. ✌🏼

Laptop packed away.
Out-of-office switched on.
Attempting to ignore my emails (wish me luck 😅).

I’m taking a little pause until September because these two boys of mine are the whole reason this business exists and they are why I wanted to redesign motherhood so it looked more like this…

Bike rides.
Camping trips.
“Mum… watch this!”
Card games with sweets as currency.
Bedtimes that drift
Family time
Too many snacks.
Too much ice cream.
The ordinary little moments that somehow become the memories to share.

And before anyone says, “Oh that sounds dreamy…”

Can we all agree the summer holidays are also a LOT?

Whether you’re solo parenting, trying to work whilst entertaining little people, navigating childcare, tag-teaming with grandparents, counting down the days until September (no judgement here 🙋🏼‍♀️) or somehow juggling all of the above…
