As part of Volunteers’ Week, we’d like to celebrate the incredible Toni.
Toni has been practising Chair Yoga with for several years and is now volunteering on the Yoga for Mental Health & Wellbeing workshops that we are delivering in collaboration with the Recovery College. We couldn’t be more delighted to have her as part of the team.
Toni worked for many years as a Social Inclusion Worker at Bodmin Hospital, supporting people through mental health rehabilitation with the same practical compassion and commitment that she brings to everything she does. Following a life-changing brain aneurysm three years ago, Toni faced a long and challenging recovery journey. Throughout that process, she remained determined to rebuild both her physical and mental wellbeing, finding strength through volunteering at the Bodmin Air Ambulance charity shop and Yoga!
While her resilience is truly inspiring, what stands out most is Toni herself: kind, humble, funny, dependable, and always looking out for others. She has a wonderful ability to quietly take care of those around her and, importantly, keep Trish in check!
Thank you, Toni, for sharing your time, experience and generous spirit with us. We are so grateful to have you as part of our small but dedicated team.
Happy Volunteers’ Week! 💙

As part of Volunteers’ Week, we’d like to shine a spotlight on the wonderful Bonnie.
Bonnie joined our Yoga for People Living with Parkinson’s and their Carers/Supporters class in Camelford as a volunteer and we are delighted to have her as part of the team.
Many people in the community will know Bonnie from her time serving first as Deputy Mayor and then as Mayor, where she championed transparency in council spending and represented the interests of local traders.
Behind the public role is someone who is creative, grounded, funny, inclusive, pragmatic and always willing to roll up her sleeves and get things done!
Bonnie brings warmth, energy & a genuine commitment to supporting others and we are incredibly grateful to have her on board.
Thank you, Bonnie, for being part of our small but dedicated team. Happy Volunteers’ Week! 🧡

Knowing that we will be able to share how Yoga can support our mental health and wellbeing across North Cornwall means so much to us and it feels incredibly affirming to have our work recognised in this way.

We want to say a heart felt thank you to the Business Club for funding these sessions. The group goes from strength to strength - quite literally ;) - they really are ‘Steady As Slate’.
We are also delighted that thanks to the we are able to continue these classes.
