Good Morning! Why not pick up your prescription on this lovely sunny Saturday morning? We are open 9am to 1pm

Our collection cupboard is very busy and there are still a lot of May and early June dated prescriptions that need collecting.

We are currently dispensing those received from doctor on 11th (thur) so if you requested your medicines Monday or before they should be ready in theory. Do ring us to check if you wish

Our phones are currently unavailable (Tuesday 5th May). The issue is with the phone provider and they are working to fix it. There is no time estimate provided unfortunately. Our sincere apologies for this but unfortunately is out of our control.

Don’t forget we are closed on Monday! If you need your prescription before Tuesday please come and collect it today to ensure it’s actually here from the doctors! You may need to wait whilst we pop the goods together 😄 (our collection cupboard is still overflowing so a lot are ready)

Good Morning - hope you are all having a lovely weekend. Maybe you are making plans for the coming week? A couple of things to please consider adding to those plans below!

Out prescription collection cupboard is full and overflowing with prescriptions. If you put in a request on or before last Tuesday (21st) or have had a text please come and collect it as soon as possible.

There is another bank holiday approaching - we will be closed on Monday 4th May. Please have a quick check on your medication this weekend and order anything you may need.

Please spread the word to anyone not on Facebook.

Easter Sunday is two weeks today 🐥
Please check your supplies this week and check you have three weeks worth and if not get it ordered via your normal method ✅
We will be closed Good Friday and Easter Monday. Normal opening hours otherwise.

Be a good egg - order and essential medications you're running low on in good time before the Easter bank holiday weekend.

Many GP surgeries require at least 3 working days to process repeat prescriptions so hop to it to make sure you're covered.

Be kind to yourself this Mothers Day

Whilst Mothers Day can be lovely there are many who find it an incredibly difficult day due to associated grief. There is no right or wrong way to feel so please just be kind to yourself. If you need support visit the NHS website or ring 111 ❤️

Please be aware that there are currently major drug shortages of the most basic drugs!

Drug shortages have been constant in pharmacy for years now (something that sadly the government refuses to deal with properly) and it is not at all uncommon for us to have to purchase drugs in at a higher price than we will get paid for them.

However last month and going into this month may be the most frustrating ever with aspirin, fluoxetine, rosuvastatin, ramipril (to name a few) all going short in the market and pushing prices to crazy high levels or simply being unavailable. The article below (hopefully link will work) explains more.

Please do not leave collecting your prescription to the last moment incase we have to obtain a new script for you due to one of these shortages (usually takes a working day). We are now back to the standard five day turn around for prescriptions the majority of the time.

Pharmacists say the cost to buy a box of aspirin from suppliers was 38p but is now around £7.
