Sometimes the most healing thing you can do is walk away…before you break. 🤍
It’s only day two of the summer holidays, and today has felt like one of those days where everyone needed a piece of me.
“Mum…”
“Mummy…”
“Can you just…”
Pulled in every direction, trying to keep everyone happy, whilst quietly running on empty. Add in the first day of my period, and my emotions were already asking for a little more kindness.
So instead of pushing through until I snapped, I stepped away.
Not because I don’t love my children.
Not because I’m selfish.
But because I knew I couldn’t pour from an empty cup.
The washing can wait.
The jobs can wait.
The world doesn’t fall apart because Mum takes ten minutes to breathe.
As mums, we often feel guilty for putting ourselves first. But the truth is, regulating ourselves is one of the greatest gifts we can give our children. They don’t need a perfect mum—they need one who knows when to pause, reset, and return with love.
Today, my Rahanni practice reminded me to come back to my breath, place one hand on my heart, one on my womb, and simply be.
If today has felt heavy for you too, this is your reminder…
✨ You are allowed to pause.
✨ You are allowed to breathe.
✨ You are allowed to choose peace before pressure.
Take care of your energy. Everyone around you benefits when you do. 💜
