My Name is Megan, I became a carer in 2016 after seeing and feeling first hand the impact of a loved ones Dementia diagnosis and the patience, care and support required through this difficult process.
Over the years I have worked in Care homes, Domiciliary Care, Live-in Care, Home assessor and had many other fulfilling roles that have all provided me with the knowledge that I have today.
Not only do I have a long history in this profession but I have also completed numerous training courses over the years, from my; Care certificate through to my NVQ Level 3, Medication training, First Aid training, Manual handing training and many more.

After 8 years, deciding I can give more and feeling confident enough in my knowledge, experience and ability I started my own company called 'Care From Within'.

Since then I have been running a 'Respite Day Break Club' in Bognor on Mondays and Tuesdays. This only being possible with the volunteering support of my wonderful mum, who herself has over 15 years experience as well as NVQ's in care.
This is a service that we provide for not only the cared for but for the carer to enjoy a much deserved break, knowing that their loved one is having a day full of fun and laughter and are in trusted hands!

Drop of time is between 10 - 10:30am.
Pick up is between 4 - 4:30pm.

Refreshments, Lunch and desserts are included
Music sessions, Arts & Crafts, Games & Puzzles, Quizzes and Day trips out!

£55.00 per session.

We have a voluntary musician called Bex, who joins us once a month with her guitar, vocals and this amazing Rav Vast, (steel tongue drum).
She provides a mixed music session of familiar and original songs.
Together we sing duets, and take it in turns to sing into the microphone.

Our clients happily sing-along with the live music and to a carefully selected playlist.
They very much enjoy themselves, singing, listening, playing with percussion, dancing, or just watching the fun unfold.
Music really is medicine!
