Summer has been AMAZING… but very, very busy! ☀️

We’ve filled our summer with lots of lovely trips, days out, celebrations and plenty of family time and now we’re feeling refreshed, recharged and ready for the new academic year!

We’ve got so much planned over the coming months, starting with our woodland workshops 🌳We’re so excited to get back to creating, learning and exploring together.

Behind the scenes, we’ve also got a growing list of resources to create following your requests, as well as lots of personalised work packs to make ready for the new term. 📚✏️

And… we’re in the process of securing a premises where we’ll be able to offer some small group tutoring sessions too! 🤞🏼

So, after a little summer pause, we’re officially back!

Here’s to a wonderful new academic year filled with learning, creativity, confidence, connection and lots of fun. 🤩

WE’RE BACK!

We’re so excited to announce that Wellbeing in the Woods is back! We’ve missed you all and can’t wait to welcome everyone back for our first workshop on Sunday 27th September at our usual venue, St George’s Primary School.

It feels crazy to be writing this already, but we’ll be embracing all things AUTUMN! 😮

As we head into the colder months, we know the British weather might not always be on our side! We now have access to an indoor area so if the weather gets a little too wild, we can bring the children inside for a snack and some cosy indoor activities.

Hi everyone! We hope you’re all enjoying the summer holidays so far! Just a little update from us…

We’ve been a bit quiet recently because August is THE busiest month for us! Between us we have 5 birthdays, 3 trips away, a wedding anniversary, a wedding AND a hen do in Marbella!

In between all the madness, we’re still busy behind the scenes working on some exciting plans for September, including group tutoring, Home Ed sessions and more of our much-loved forest workshops! We’re also still taking orders for our work packs and have recently made some lovely ‘school readiness’ packs- if you’d like to order one just send us a message 😊

We’ll keep you all updated as our plans come together, and we hope to see lots of you again very soon! 😁

We Need Your Help! 📣

Our Forest School sessions have been a huge success, and we’d love to continue growing them with even more exciting resources for the children. As a small local business, our budget is limited so we’re reaching out to our community to see if anyone has any unwanted items they could donate.

We’re looking for things such as:

🍃 Guttering offcuts (perfect for water runs and marble tracks)
🪵 Wooden pallets
🪚 Tree stumps or large logs
🪴 Plant pots and trays
🌱 Seeds, bulbs and compost
🌼 Gardening tools (child or adult size)
🪣 Buckets, watering cans and tubs
🥄 Wooden spoons
🍳 Old pots, pans, baking trays and muffin tins
🫖 Metal tea sets or kitchen utensils
🥣 Mixing bowls, sieves and jugs
🧺 Baskets or crates
🧱 Bricks, paving slabs or large stones
🪨 Pebbles, shells or slate pieces
🚜 Toy diggers, tractors or construction vehicles
🪑 Small outdoor tables or benches
🧺 Plastic storage boxes with lids
🐚 Natural materials such as pine cones

If you have anything else you think could be useful for messy play, den building, mud kitchens, gardening or outdoor learning, we’d love to hear from you! We have a van, so we’re happy to collect larger items if you’re local.

We are so excited about this one!

After our Nature Pizzas Forest School activity, we were asked to create a complete resource package for a local Forest School- and we’ve absolutely loved working on it!

It’s a little different from our usual resources, but we’ve had so much fun bringing these ideas to life that we’d love to create more.

We’ve been busy creating these beautiful Number Representation Flowers! 🌸

Designed to support children with number recognition, this resource includes numbers 1–10, with a variety of representations for each number to help children develop a deeper understanding of number in different forms.

These are perfect for classrooms, home learning spaces, tutoring settings or any early years learning environment. They’re dyslexia-friendly, eye-catching and make a beautiful maths display!

Happy last week of school!

Tonight is our last ‘Wellbeing in the Woods’ after-school club before the summer holidays, we can’t believe how quickly this year has gone! We’re looking forward to seeing the children later, we have some lovely activities planned 😊
