🥰 As part of , our Social Prescribers were delighted to attend the Who Cares? Celebration and Information Day hosted by Bolton Carers Support yesterday.

Did you know that unpaid carers save the UK economy an estimated £184 billion every year? 😳🙌
Despite the invaluable role they play, many carers still do not receive the support they need and deserve.

The event celebrated carers across Bolton and gave them the opportunity to nominate individuals who have made a real difference by recognising, understanding and supporting them in their caring role 🤗

We are proud to share that our own Social Prescriber, Julie, was nominated and received an award for helping to build a more carer-friendly community 🩷

Thank you to all the unpaid carers in Westhoughton and Blackrod who have shared their stories, experiences and lives with our Social Prescribing Team. Thank you for trusting us and allowing us to support you in your caring role 🤗

👉🏾 If you are an unpaid carer registered with Unsworth Group Practice or Stable Fold Surgery and would like to find out what support is available, please contact your surgery and ask to be referred to a Social Prescriber.
We work closely with and many other fabulous groups and services.

Bolton College are holding community drop-in sessions at Westhoughton Library on 16th June and 21st July, 10am-12pm.

They will also be at Horwich Library on 23rd June and 28th July, 10am-12pm.
