🎒 BACK TO SCHOOL & VERRUCA SEASON! 🦶

With children heading back to school, PE lessons, swimming and changing rooms mean more opportunities for verrucas to spread.

Verrucas are contagious and can easily be picked up through barefoot contact with shared floors — particularly around swimming pools and changing areas.

👀 Keep an eye on your child’s feet for:

🚨 Don’t Ignore an Ingrowing Toenail! 🚨

An ingrowing toenail can quickly become infected if left untreated. If you’re experiencing any of the following, it’s time to get it checked:

🦶 Pain or tenderness around the nail
🔴 Redness and swelling
💛 Pus or discharge
🔥 Warmth around the toe
🚶 Pain when walking or wearing shoes

What should you do?
✅ Bathe the toe in warm salty water for 10–15 minutes, 2–3 times a day.
✅ Keep the area clean and dry.
✅ Wear comfortable, open or wide-fitting footwear to reduce pressure.
✅ Avoid digging into the nail or trying to cut it yourself, as this can make the problem worse.
✅ If you have diabetes, poor circulation, or the infection is spreading, seek professional advice as soon as possible.
