I have posted this response on the Conservatory for her page in response to Ms Rothwell..last week
This incident happened in August 2020.
My name is Bernie peter I have owned the conservatory for hair since 1991…
In all my time trading at The Conservatory for Hair I have I never had a court case/dispute against me or my Salon.
These accusations from Ms Rothwell. Are extremely inaccurate defamatory and maliciously..
I found it very unusual at the time for a young woman of her age to have a perm in this day and age,…I went on to book the appointment with Ms Lisa Malone, who was working with me at the time as a freelance hairdresser working within my business.
Lisa went on to perm Ms Rothwell‘s hair Ms Rothwell was more than happy with her Hair and the service when she left the salon as we had CCTV of the process throughout .
I then had a barrage of messages from Ms Rothwell. Stating that she wasn’t happy with a her hair, I conveyed to her that as I didn’t do her hair and Lisa Malone carried out the service as she was independent of me, I couldn’t get involved as Miss Malone was a freelance hairdresser with her own insurance and worked independently of anyone within the salon. As far as I’m concerned I believe that Lisa Malone did her very best to give Ms Rothwell.. all the advice that she needed to maintain her permanent wave shortly after on her Facebook account. We saw several images of her AFTER the perm was done as I will show you later.
Miss Rothwell, then went to see a no-win no fee lawyer, who was particularly aggressive as I stated earlier the people who work with me are independent stylists and Beauty Therapist and have all their own insurance for any insurance claims. I as the owner of the conservatory for hair I have my own insurance
My insurance does not cover any works done by an individual other than myself as they are self-employed, freelance hairdressers.
I had a series of letters from the no-win, no fee lawyer about this matter, but as I said it was nothing to do with me unfortunately, I did say that once Ms Rothwell had been back to Lisa I was more than happy to take a second look at it and to give her all my experience and expertise, she decided she was going to pursue her claim.. throughout the time, I actively showed that Miss Malone was not an employee of the Conservatory for hair..
And there was nothing that I could do, and that was the last I heard of it until this very personal attack on myself and my business.
As you can see on my reviews there only a couple that aren’t five star as I’ve worked very hard to maintain a very good professional business.
There are two reviews that are not five-star one of which was a woman who was a personal cleaner of mine at home who had an issue with me . The second was someone we have never heard of, we have never done her hair or been a client of the beauty therapists.. I did message the second woman on messenger with no response. That was a bogus review .., now realising this is Gemma Aloy an acquaintance of Ms Rothwell…
