CLASS FOCUS THIS WEEK:
SMALL BALLS

(If only it was disco balls 🪩)

Working with Pilates balls offers several key benefits, particularly for those focusing on core stability, injury recovery, and overall body awareness. Working with small Pilates balls can help with:

• Core Activation: The instability of the ball forces your deep stabilising muscles to engage more effectively, strengthening your core and pelvic floor.

• Targeted Support for Injury Recovery: Placing the ball under the lower back or neck provides gentle support, making movements more accessible and comfortable for those managing back pain or returning from injury.

• Enhanced Muscle Engagement: Squeezing the ball between your knees or hands activates specific muscle groups like the inner thighs (adductors) and upper body, ensuring a more comprehensive, full-body workout.

• Improved Balance and Body Awareness: Using the ball as a prop challenges your proprioception, helping you develop better balance and a more intuitive connection to your body’s alignment during class.

• Increased Flexibility and Range of Motion: The ball can be used to deepen stretches and support the spine during extension exercises, promoting better mobility and long-term joint health.

There’s a few spaces in classes this week and this month’s block is only three weeks (except for Tuesday), so why not come join us!

Sunday 13th June @ 10am
Tuesday 16th @ 10:45am
Friday 19th @ 4pm or 6pm

All these sessions can be used for full or express treatments, or even a combination of both.
