Mykee’s Mum Helping parents, Healing and giving Hope

For those of you who don't know our son Mykee has additional needs, he is non-verbal, as you can imagine this has turned our world upside down and sent us on a journey that we never expected, as a parent you want to do everything you can to help your child, to help them thrive. The past 5 years have been hard emotionally and mentally but they have also opened my eyes to the world we live in, we refuse to accept this is it for our son, instead we choose to educate ourselves, research and never give up on making sure he has a happy and independent life in the future �

The aim of this page is to help others who find themselves on this journey, I will share everything from health, therapies, recipes, financial support and a bit of shopping, we are still on this journey and learning every day but we want you to know you are not alone and never give up Hope �

As a mum of two boys who have autism, I believe my kids still need boundaries, rules and consequences but I also understand how difficult this can be, it’s hard to know if they are struggling and overwhelmed or they are just being naughty/spoilt. I do think we can’t make autism an excuse for bad behaviour, I also understand behaviour can be a result of struggling or sensory overload. I think sometimes it’s hard to know what to do for the best, I also think if I have a child kicking off every time they don’t get there own way then it’s going to be ten times harder having an adult kicking off if they don’t get there own way, so I try my best to teach them right from wrong but I also know that something just can’t be controlled or helped 🤎

What support is out there and would you take it 🤎

Most kids have clubs, summer camps, have friends they can play out with or can go with family in the holidays but with kids with needs the options are limited, I feel lucky with what I have in place but even if you have it in place it is still really hard trusting other people with your child who is autistic non verbal, we want to protect them as much as we can but we also need a break and it is importantly to give them that independence too 🤎

Riding a Bike August 2026 🤎

Riding a bike is just something you take for granted and it’s just something most kids do at a young age, we got Mykee a bike 2 years ago and he would go backwards with the peddles and could not grasp the steering, when he would look at something the handle bars would go with him 🤣, today we got him a bike and he just got on it and rode it like he had been waiting ages to just do it, he’s still getting used to the brakes and yes he has stableisers but I wa so proud of him, we always celebrate the wins, because to autism parents these milestones mean so much 🤎

Wow I’m so impressed on how much his brain has calmed down and improved, we have seen it ourselves and so have the school but to see the scan results from December 2025 until now the difference is amazing, we are balancing the brain and then we will go in and optimize the brain 🧠

This therapy will take over the UK in years to come it’s not only working for Autism but for dementia, Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions, calming the brain or firing the brain up so it becomes balanced then we go in and optimize it so it can work at its best 🤎 .map
