Chiro… Physio… what’s the difference…
Most people file them as different things. A bad back goes to one, a bad knee goes to the other. Truth is, they’re both musculoskeletal therapists, and a lot of what they do overlaps more than people expect.
So here’s what actually happens when you come in to see our in house Chiropractor, James👇
📋 Consultation: your complaint and all associated details, general and family medical history, a few other health checks. I need the full picture so I’m able to figure out the best course of action for treatment.
🔍 Physical exam: how you’re moving, where the restrictions are, what’s compensating for what. Not just where it hurts.
📝 Report of Findings: I explain what I’ve found, what I’m going to do about it, how long it may take, and how I’m going to treat you.
🙌 Treatment: adjustments, soft tissue work, mobilisations, strength and mobility exercises to take away. All based on the findings of the consultation and physical exam.
You don’t need to wait until something’s stopped you training to book in. Most injuries don’t come out of nowhere. They’re preceded by weeks of small stuff (a bit stiff, a bit tight, a rep that felt off) that’s easy to ignore. Caught early, that’s usually sorted quickly. Left alone, it’s what could turn into something more serious. Let’s grab it before it gets there!
