Oh my goodness… I received these photos this morning from my dear friend
Today in 2013 …13 years ago Suze came to me to create her Shamanic Drum !!
I remember that day so well… it was brilliant!

13 years ago when I was holding Shamanic Drum Birthing Workshops!!

Look at my Healing Room… how it has evolved and changed since then!

When I learnt how to make Shamanic Drums ( many years before ) there were only two people holding Drum Making Workshops … I chose to learn from .fell a wonderful Shamanic Pathwalker based up in Leeds… I had to have a lift to Southampton airport ( thanks Pat.. hubby ) fly to Leeds airport, a train ride and a taxi to my destination for two days … then return the same way in reverse…clutching my precious newly birthed Shamanic Drum!!

Suze… what memories you have stirred up sharing these wonderful photos with me … a huge thank you!

Robyn, huge thank you for your amazing teachings many many years ago… it was a wonderful 2 days in your simply magical, sacred crafting room.

The brightest of red caught my eye in the dry dusty pathway. Hidden deeply in the base of the tree… this is Mother Nature’s gift to you and me.
Fungi are fascinating.

That bittersweet ‘new journal’ time…. When it’s time to close my old journal to move into the new one.

The old journal became a friend holding my words, giving me space to write my musings, without judgement nor interruptions.

Now the new journal awaits, with blank pages to ‘pretty up’ to hold my flowing ink of words, my new memories yet to unfold. Words of wisdom and inspirations and I help to be excited to put pen to paper!

Do you feel like this when you move into a new journal… it happens to me every time !!

This is part of a long written musing I wrote today as part of Beth Kempton’s Summer Writing Sanctuary. My writing rambled through the different ages and stages of Woman. I chose to share this part of the Crone.

The thorny wisdom of the Crone as she bears no nonsense from anyone.

She speaks as she wishes, no flowery pinkness of niceness, unless you deserve this.

Abrasive truth comes out of her soft wrinkled pink lips, with a glint in her eyes.

I get lost within her wisdom wrinkles, they tell of the map of her life, her experiences, like the bark on a tree.

Her memories of Child, Lover, Mother and now her Crone times, dance in her mind like the flowing pink frocks and romances of summers past.

And still the wild rose dances on….

The Ancient Yew!
I found Her!
We parked in a different place.
Walked a different path, not explored by us before.
There She was, radiating her ancient beauty, for us to discover.
Amazing!!!
In the vast expanse of the woods, she could have rooted herself anywhere and it would have been like trying to find a needle in a haystack. I was only told that She was in the woods a couple of weeks ago, but I wasn’t told where she actually was!

But there She stood!! Proudly standing tall ….. I’m in love!

And I am so happy! 🌳🌳🌳
