When you step away from an Iyengar Yoga Convention it doesn’t leave you, the themes, words, teachings, analogies (of which there were many 😉) percolate long afterwards. 💛

How beautiful is that, Birjoo likened this to ‘music is the silence between the notes 🎶 ‘.

As I bring this into my practice and teaching, perhaps you may see this perspective too.

300 participants, 1 community of practitioners, a new adventure to , spending time with yoga friends 💛 and enjoying all that Iyengar Yoga offers.

Afternoon
As part of our spring/ summer of Iyengar Yoga, I would like to gift one lucky person a copy of Light on Yoga.

Even in space 🙏🏻

“I did [a lot] of yoga when I was on board the ISS, and it’s actually not that hard to do,” she said. “In some ways, way more fun to do ... There are some poses that are tough. The standing poses I don’t necessarily get as much out of. But a lot of the stretching poses are great. So yes, yoga’s fantastic.” - Astronaut Christina Koch, the first woman to travel around the Moon.

I’m back and what a trip to India 🇮🇳 this past couple of weeks has been.
A little secret too, although this wasn’t a yoga journey for me this time, I did manage to find Usha Devi’s class in Rishikesh, which was awesome, beyond my expectations and immediately felt like ‘coming home’ just being in her general class.

Iyengar Yoga is so inspirational, Usha’s teachings resonated so much, she was just brilliant!

This always reminds me that our community is so special 💛 both at home and worldwide!

💛 Cobblers pose, also known as Baddhakonasana

Opens the hips, stretches the inner groins, thighs and knees for starters. Improves blood circulation to the pelvic region, takes the load off weary feet and handy to do some jobs too!!!

Just look 👀 not a chair in sight.
I loved seeing this on my travels through , India 🇮🇳 this week…
