🎶💚 A Great Session at Whitecliffe House Care Home , Colten Care Blandford today!

We focused mainly on movement, and everyone worked hard. There were scarves waving, maracas shaking, toes tapping and plenty of smiles and laughter along the way. 💃🕺

It's amazing how much joy and energy music can bring, and residents really embraced the session with enthusiasm.

After all that activity, we finished with a much-needed massage, helping everyone relax, unwind and enjoy a moment of calm.

Movement, music, connection and relaxation, just what Peaceful Pathways is all about. 🌿

🐾🎶 What a lovely visit to Colbury House Nursing Home with Peaceful Pathways and our wonderful Helpful Hound, Umber. 💚

Umber was amazing as always, happily sitting up on chairs so residents could stroke her, see her properly and enjoy spending time with her. She brought smiles wherever she went and was the perfect companion throughout the session.

The movement and music session was great fun, with residents joining in, laughing and exploring different instruments. One of the highlights was introducing my new shaker, which sounds just like a rattlesnake! 🐍

That sparked a fascinating conversation when one resident shared a story about his brother nearly dying as a boy after being bitten by an adder, the UK's only venomous snake!! It's incredible how music and instruments can unlock memories and stories that may otherwise never be told.

A wonderful afternoon of movement, music, memories and connection.

🎶🌿 What a fantastic Peaceful Pathways Movement, Music & Massage session at Merceode Lodge Care Home today.

We had a great group of residents joining us, with plenty of laughter, movement, music and shared moments throughout the session. It's always wonderful to see everyone joining in, whether that's through singing, playing instruments, moving to the music or simply enjoying being together.

To finish, every resident received a relaxing shoulder and head massage, helping them unwind and enjoy a moment of calm after all the fun and activity.

A beautiful session filled with connection, joy and wellbeing. 💚

Ruth led a wonderful movement session inspired by the elements, helping residents stretch, move and connect with the music.

The percussion instruments were a huge hit, especially the tongue drum! 🥁 There was singing, laughter, dancing and so much participation that we all got a little warm! ☀️💃

🎶 What a Morning at Kings Park Care Home - Barchester Healthcare

We had such a laugh at Kings Park with Martin, the Activities Lead, and of course the lovely Umber, our Helpful Hounds Community Dogs , who took everything in her stride as always. 🐾❤️

When we arrived on Memory Lane, the residents were ready to party! Before we knew it, scarves were flying through the air, maracas were shaking and the room was bursting with energy.

At one point, I think we were only a disco ball away from a full-blown rave! 🎉🎶

Residents danced their socks off, sang along and threw themselves wholeheartedly into the session. The joy, laughter and enthusiasm in the room was absolutely infectious.

After all that excitement, we gently slowed things down with soothing hand massages, allowing everyone to relax, unwind and enjoy a moment of calm. It was beautiful to watch the room gradually settle as residents enjoyed some well-deserved relaxation.

These sessions are always a reminder of the incredible power of music, movement and connection. 💚

🏡 What a lovely afternoon at Dragonfly Care Home with our wonderful practitioner, Ruth, leading the session.

Ruth gently guided residents through movement using the elements as inspiration, encouraging everyone to stretch, flow and connect with the music in their own way. It was wonderful to watch residents engage so enthusiastically and embrace the journey.

The percussion instruments were a huge hit, especially the tongue drum, which residents loved exploring and playing. There was plenty of laughter, rhythm and creativity throughout the session.

In fact, things got so lively with all the dancing and movement that it became a little warm in the room! 💃🕺☀️

Seeing residents smiling, moving and expressing themselves through music is always such a joy, and Ruth did a fantastic job creating a fun, inclusive and uplifting atmosphere.

Thank you to everyone at Dragonfly for another wonderful afternoon. 💚

Our lovely, ever-so-sweet (and occasionally slightly mad!) Springer Spaniel, Iris, has officially gained her Community Dog badge! 🎉💚

After passing her assessment, Iris will now be joining me and Umber on visits to various nursing homes, where she'll be helping to spread joy, encourage conversations and, no doubt, collect plenty of fuss and cuddles along the way.

Dogs have such a special way of connecting with people, bringing comfort, sparking memories and creating smiles, and I'm so excited that Iris will now be part of that journey.

A huge thank you to Keren McIlwain for assessing Iris when she was nearly 16 months old, and then again today at 2 years and 4 months, for Helpful Hounds Community Dogs . It's been wonderful to see how much she has matured and developed during that time.

We're incredibly proud of our girl and can't wait to see the happiness she brings to residents on her visits. Although knowing Iris, there may be the occasional moment of spaniel enthusiasm mixed in with her professionalism! 🐶❤️

🐾 A Wonderful Afternoon at Merceode Lodge Care Home 🐾

This week my dogs joined me for a visit to Mercedoe Lodge, and they were certainly the stars of the show! 🐶❤️

Residents enjoyed spending time with them, sharing stories about the dogs they've loved throughout their lives. We chatted about childhood pets, faithful companions, mischievous puppies and all the wonderful memories that our four-legged friends leave with us.

It's amazing how quickly dogs can spark conversation, connection and reminiscence. There were smiles, laughter, and plenty of fuss and attention for our furry visitors.

Sometimes the simplest moments can be the most meaningful, and spending time together talking about our shared love of dogs was one of those moments.

Another lovely visit to New Forest Nursing Home , spending time with residents through both one-to-one sessions and our group Movement, Music & Massage session.

The day was made even more special by a visit from Umber, one of the wonderful Helpful Hounds Community Dogs . 🐾

Umber worked her magic as she made her way around the home, greeting residents, accepting plenty of strokes and cuddles, and bringing smiles wherever she went. Alongside our music and movement activities, she sparked conversations, memories and lots of happiness.

The combination of music, movement, touch and animal companionship creates such a positive atmosphere, and it was beautiful to see residents engaging, sharing stories and enjoying the moment together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and of course to lovely Umber for brightening everyone's day. 💚
