Meditation just took a huge step forward on the global stage.
Gallup has officially added meditation questions to its World Poll — meaning, for the first time, we’ll have worldwide data on who meditates, how often, and what benefits they experience.
It’s a big moment for mindfulness, wellbeing, and public‑health research.
So far, UK psychology circles haven’t commented publicly — and that’s expected. They’re waiting for the first release of real data in December 2026, which will show patterns across countries, cultures, age groups, stress levels, and wellbeing indicators.
Once those findings land, we can expect responses from places like the British Psychological Society, UCL, Oxford, Sussex, and UK wellbeing researchers who specialise in mindfulness and mental health.
For now, this announcement alone is a powerful sign:
Mindfulness isn’t just a personal practice anymore — it’s becoming a measurable part of global wellbeing.
It’s an exciting moment for everyone who values calm, clarity, and emotional health. 🌿
