We are home and we are exhausted. It might have looked like a holiday but this was an extremely full jam packed 4 days mixed in with sunshine and cocktails.

Our desire to attend events like this is underpinned by our commitment to strengthening the EK Clinics team, with our patients at the forefront of everything we do.

Is hayfever ruining your summer and killing your joy. For some pollen is public enemy number one. Sadly we are unable to offer the injection this year due stock limitations but we have had multiple multiple enquiries we sympathise we know you are suffering.

You do however have management options at our CQQ Registered Clinic;

- Speak to your pharmacist about Fexofenadine which can now be accessed as an over the counter medication.
- Our prescribing team can offer a super strength nasal spray in clinic and this would require a full consultation but we are happy to have this conversation. Consultations are £25 and the cost of the prescription if you are suitable is £60 (the consultation fee is redeemable against this)

Other top tops how to reduce your exposure to Pollen

Keep windows and doors closed as much as possible, especially during high pollen days.

Check the daily pollen forecast and plan outdoor activities when counts are lower.

Avoid cutting grass or spending long periods in grassy areas when pollen levels are high.

Do not dry clothes outside, as pollen can stick to fabrics.

-Protect Yourself Outdoors

Wear wraparound sunglasses to help stop pollen getting into your eyes.

Apply a small amount of petroleum jelly (such as Vaseline) around your nostrils to help trap pollen before it enters your nose.

Consider wearing a hat when outdoors during peak pollen season.

-Keep Pollen Out of Your Home

Shower, wash your hair and change your clothes after spending time outside.

Vacuum regularly and dust surfaces with a damp cloth.

Avoid keeping fresh flowers indoors.

If possible, keep pets out of bedrooms as they can carry pollen on their fur. combination of these can be highly effective.
