For me, living from the heart is an ongoing journey. And, to be honest, a work in progress.
🌟 It’s a series of choice points where, again and again, I’m invited to come back to myself and listen to my heart.
🌟 It’s recognising that I don’t have all the answers. That I’m not perfect. That I’ll get triggered and make mistakes, just like we all do. But what follows matters…
🌟 Living from the heart is taking accountability. Recognising our patterns. Owning the impact we have on others. And being willing to have the difficult conversations that embodying integrity sometimes asks of us.
🌟 To live from the heart is to choose vulnerability over armour, openness over assumption, and honest communication over avoidance.
🌟 It’s having the courage to name our feelings and needs, while listening deeply to the feelings and needs of others.
🌟 It’s learning to meet conflict with compassion rather than blame or defensiveness. Because it’s in this space that our hearts can truly meet. ❤️
And just as the lotus grows through the mud, we begin to see each other’s light shining through all the messiness.
🌟 It’s continually turning towards alignment—bringing our words, choices, boundaries and actions closer to what we know to be true within us, while inviting that same integrity in the people around us.
🌟 It’s creating spaces where people feel welcomed, valued and encouraged to become more of who they are. And doing this for all those in our lives. Raising each other up rather than competing with or diminishing one another.
🌟 It’s wanting relationships with depth—relationships that can hold truth, difference, repair and growth.
🌟 It’s meeting each other’s wounds and limitations with kindness and discernment, setting boundaries without building walls, and holding for each other’s humanity while still seeing clearly.
🌟 It’s remaining willing to turn towards one another, to self-reflect and notice the barriers we’ve built against love—and having the courage, one step at a time, to soften them. ❤️🩹
Choose love.
