We won’t promise a “miracle session.”

We won’t crack you, pat you on the back, and send you away unchanged.

Bodies don’t work like that.

Osteopathy is slow, precise, and deeply individual because you are.

If you’re tired of short-term relief and ready to understand what’s really going on, that’s where real change starts.

Oncology Massage
What is oncology massage and what are the benefits?

The key thing about oncology massage is it is delivered by a specialist oncology massage therapist who is trained to adapt the treatment to suit you on that particular day. This may involve treating or avoiding certain areas of your body, finding the most comfortable position for you to be able to relax or altering the nature of the touch to avoid putting additional strain on your body.

Oncology Massage
Your cancer journey is as unique as you are. Oncology massage is gentle therapeutic touch to support healing of your whole self, giving you the opportunity to rest, relax and feel inner peace and harmony.

Cancer is a generic term which covers hundreds of illnesses but what all these illnesses have in common is an uncontrolled proliferation of abnormal cells.
Historically it was thought that massage can spread cancer but now there is growing evidence that it can help.
Every massage treatment is tailor made, depending on you and where you are on your journey.

When you have cancer you have to contend with so many life-altering symptoms, from the disease itself, side effects associated with the treatments used, post treatment, recovery and remission stages.
Some of the evidence that has been building over the decades for the use of massage is that it can provide physical and emotional benefits with no adverse effects for people at all stages of the disease, treatment and in recovery.

Some of the supported benefits can include
Reduced pain
Reduced anxiety
Reduced fatigue
Reduced nausea
Reduced depression
Improved immune system function, increasing levels of natural killer cells and lymphocytes
Reduction of stress hormone levels ( i.e cortisol and adrenaline) and helps improve mood due to increased dopamine levels.
