Oh my! What a beautiful weekend with the best people in the most amazing place.
Spending time with friends has been really good for my soul.

We all know that human connection improves overall wellbeing and happiness, stress levels decrease when we have interacted with friends. Those happy hormones, serotonin, dopamine and oxytocin increase and we feel good.

It’s really nice to feel the benefits of a weekend of laughter, good company with old friends and a bit of self care!

I couldn’t resist sharing some more photos, and yes, I know it’s a bit cliche , let’s face it, we often only post the good moments in life on social media.. but I can honestly say this trip was only full of good times! ( missing suitcases aside 😂!)

and it was so lovely to end the trip with some reflexology.

It’s national feet week (17th-23rd april) so what better time to stop and focus on an area of the body that I know well. 👣

We don’t often give our feet a second thought, they work hard for us and we aren’t very forgiving on what we put them through.

But did you know our feet hold many secrets?

✨ their general appearance, colour, temperature, texture all give a glimpse on what our general health looks like.

As a reflexologist I am always taking hints from your feet. This builds an image on how you are feeling. I focus on areas that feel soft, hard, gritty or crunchy or imbalanced.

Take a deeper look at your feet, notice how they change from day to day. Here are some little things to look for.

✨ patches of hard skin often form over problem reflexes to protect these areas, for example if you have hard skin under your little toe you may also experience tension in your shoulders.

✨ if you have very white feet you maybe feeling fatigued.
If you have yellow tinges it can denote frustration.
If you have red areas they can suggest underline reflex imbalance. For example red heels may signal pelvis tension.

✨ lines and wrinkles also change shape and size accordingly to how we feel. Lots of lines may suggest you are feeling worried. Lines on the arches may point to digestive issues.

What to do.

✨ give your feet a squeeze, a rub, a gentle massage. Concentrate on areas that feel warm or cold, hard or soft, swollen or sore.

This week take a deeper look at your feet. Appreciate them. Give them some love. Give them some attention. They deserve it👣❤️

We often hold tension in our body, this can be the result of mechanical stress, injury and trauma. It also can be caused by emotional stress when the body is in prolonged fight or flight mode.

✨ What happens to your body when it’s put under stress?

The connective pathway of fascia and muscles becomes tense and tight, causing pain and tenderness.

Common places to feel tension are the TMJ region , neck and shoulders, and the spine and back.

✨ Help set your body free with reflexology!

My treatments can target the musculoskeletal, fascia and nervous systems of the whole body via specific reflexes on the feet.

✨ A gentle holistic approach to tackling pain and tension.
✨ supporting your health and wellbeing.
✨ reflexologists don’t diagnose or treat a particular condition. We will refer you to a medical professional if required.

How have you spent the first few days of the new year?
I started 2026 with some much needed time at the coast and a chilly dip in the sea. If you follow my posts you will know it’s where I always head for some calming peace.

Im not one for making New Year’s resolutions, but I do think January is a good time to gently reframe my priorities and by giving myself permission to make space in life for self care that fulfils my needs.

With that in mind, and knowing lots of you will have made similar intentions I’d like to remind you how important self care really is.

No one can pour from an empty cup, it’s ok to stop, slow down and enjoy something that fulfils you. Whether that be curling up with a book, a walk by yourself , a catch up with friends, a massage or booking your next reflexology treatment. It’s good to take care of yourself.
