Amber Radiator Covers

Amber Radiator Covers Bespoke made to measure radiator covers and cabinets for sale online Established in 1995, we are a small family run business.

Here at amber radiator covers we manufacture hand made radiator covers to all specific needs. We supply bespoke radiator cabinets from very traditional design to very contemporary designs for the more modern appeal. We supply cost effective radiator covers for specific safety reasons where aesthetics are not the main concern but to simply provide protection for vulnerable people coming into contac

t with very hot surfaces. We machine spray our radiator covers in 4 main colours, satin or gloss white, antique white (cream) or satin black. we also provide a "own colour" option where we can get the vast majority including farrow and ball colours mixed to work with our paint process. one of our most popular finishes is real oak veneer which we can supply untreated or stained or varnished, we can manufacture any of our designs in veneer boards oak, sapele (mahogany), pine or beech. Each radiator cover is sturdily constructed in high grade 18mm MDF that will not split or warp. Untreated MDF is ideal for painting, staining or varnishing. We can supply treated in primer/undercoat or fully finished. The range also includes MDF veneered with real beech, sapele (like mahogany), oak, and pine, perfect for staining or varnishing. The cabinets incorporate rounded over or chamfered edges as a standard safety feature.

We would advise people to install radiator cover wall brackets with caution especially in new build houses!
we have had some bad experiences our selves in new build homes with the new plastic pipe heating systems?

Heating engineers seem to install pipes in the fabric of the building (under plastered walls) but are not using the installation safe zones that other trades use like electricians? (diagram attached of safe installation routes for items installed into the fabric of the building).

As you can see where there are utilities (cables etc) installed into the fabric the building there has to be an accessory out-let on the surface to indicate there are installed utilities, the outlet indicates there are services running vertically or horizontally installed in the fabric from the out let? and these zones are to be drilled with extreme caution as not to damage the services.

The images shows where we went to fix the radiator cover wall bracket, the other image is of the pipe work exposed after we had damaged the hidden pipe work and emptied the central heating system onto the customers carpet?

Thea radiator was installed with the pipes running vertically from the centre to the radiator up the wall.

We did check this before drilling into the wall by looking under/behind the radiator where we could see that the pipes curled from the control valves of the radiator into an accessory box behind the centre of the radiator vertically.

But then at a arbitrary height up the wall the pipe work changed direction at another angle?

The heating system was not running so the wall was not warm to the touch and a device to detect installed items in wall would not detect plastic pipes so this is a hidden disaster?

Please be carful in new build houses?
