What does it really mean to feel worthy?

In this podcast episode, I’m joined by the beautiful Sonia Maria Horn for a heartfelt conversation about self-worth, healing, and the journey of remembering our own value.

We talk about the moments in life that make us question ourselves, the inner work that helps us come back home to who we are, and why true healing often begins with learning to see ourselves with more compassion.

I’m sharing this powerful conversation between Dr Rangan Chatterjee and my teacher, Dr Howard Schubiner, because his work explains something so important:

Many chronic symptoms are not always a sign that the body is permanently damaged. Sometimes pain, fatigue, anxiety, brain fog, IBS, tinnitus, dizziness and other symptoms can come from the brain and nervous system being stuck in protection mode.

Dr Schubiner explains the difference between structural pain and neuroplastic pain — and why both are real. The pain is real. The symptoms are real. But the cause may not always be where we think it is.

This is such an important message for anyone who has been told for years that their condition is incurable, untreatable, or something they just have to live with.

Healing often begins when we understand the role of the brain, emotions, stress, childhood experiences and the nervous system.

I highly recommend watching this episode. It gives so much hope. 🤍

I made this chocolate cake today as a healthy snack in between — rich, nourishing, and full of joy. 🤎

It is made with real whole food ingredients: freshly ground almonds, freshly ground flaxseeds, dates, organic cocoa, dark chocolate, butter and eggs.

For me, food is not just something we eat. Food is information for the brain, the body and the nervous system.

And healing does not always have to feel heavy. Sometimes healing also looks like a beautiful homemade chocolate cake, a warm kitchen, and a little moment of joy in the middle of the day. 🤎

A good homemade cake can also be a gift to the nervous system — when every ingredient is chosen with care, nourishment and love.

Anyone could trigger my anger back then.

And for a long time, I didn’t really understand why I reacted so strongly.

I thought I was just angry, but later I realised that anger was only the surface. Underneath it were guilt, grief, sadness, disappointment, and so many emotions I had swallowed for years because I didn’t know what else to do with them.

At some point, your inner cup becomes full. You can only hold everything together for so long before something starts to spill over.

For me, this was when my pain began to make sense in a completely different way.

This short is only a small part of the story. I speak more about it in my full YouTube video. 🤍

I was so fearful.

Fearful of food. Fearful of people. Fearful of situations. Fearful of life, really.

I didn’t realise it at the time, but I was slowly withdrawing from the world. I tried to avoid everything that could possibly trigger me, hurt me, overwhelm me, or make me feel unsafe.

And honestly, it was a horrible way to live.

It felt like a very dark era of my life, where I was hidden from the world — and also hidden from myself.

Back then, I thought my body was broken. I thought the problem was “out there” — in the food, in the environment, in other people, in life.

But later I understood something that changed everything for me:

My brain was running a fear program.

It was trying to protect me, but it was also keeping me trapped.

And once I understood what this program was, and how I could begin to change it, something shifted so deeply inside me.

Almost overnight, I lost so much of the fear I had been carrying for years.

Not because life suddenly became perfect.

But because my brain finally stopped seeing everything as a threat.

That was the beginning of coming back to life.

Sometimes we put so much pressure on ourselves to make the “right” decision, to know the outcome, to control every little detail… and without realising it, our nervous system goes into high alert.

But healing often begins when we gently remind ourselves:

“Either way, it’s going to be okay.”

This does not mean we don’t care about the outcome.
It means we stop frightening our body with worst-case scenarios.

When we send safety messages to the brain, the body can soften.
The nervous system can calm down.
And life often has more beautiful ways to unfold than we could have planned.

So today, whatever you are facing, take a deep breath and tell yourself:

I am safe in this moment.
I don’t need to figure everything out today.
Either way, it’s going to be okay. 🤍

What an incredible achievement for a young boy like him!!! 👍

Quantum Physics is my specialty too 😍🙏🏼

A 15-year-old Belgian teenager has reportedly earned a PhD in quantum physics.

His name is Laurent Simons.

While most teenagers his age are still in school, Laurent has already been studying some of the most complex science in the world.

Quantum physics.

Advanced mathematics.

Artificial intelligence.

And now, biomedicine.

After completing his PhD, he reportedly wants to focus on using AI and medical science to help extend human lifespan.

His goal is not just to understand the universe.

It is to use science to fight aging, disease, and the limits of the human body.

The story went viral because it sounds almost impossible.

A teenager earning a doctorate in quantum physics.

Then moving straight into AI and longevity research.

At 15, most people are thinking about exams.

Laurent Simons is thinking about how to make humans live longer.
