A small, beautifully appointed, hygenic appointments-only tattoo studio featuring the art of internationally renowned artist and tattooist Joolz Denby, we offer a calm, serene atmosphere, complete privacy and excellent client care. We have an international client base and our art is custom designed for each client. We especia

We are located above Rumshakalaka Bar on North Parade, ours is the narrow blue door marked 9A - ring the buzzer marked 'Studio Bijoux' to be let in. All appointments start at 1.00pm, I only take one client a day, and I charge £95 per hour. Payment via cash or PayPal. Some availability in February currently due to moved appointments.

I know there’s a lot of stuff going on in the modern tattoo industry that frankly either annoys me or passes me by but there’s one thing that really gets me: the American habit born out of huge TV shows like ‘Ink Master’ of calling clients ‘canvases’. It’s entirely dehumanising, and in my opinion very wrong. Clients are not inanimate objects for the tattooist to use for their ego, they are living human beings with feelings, emotions and thoughts. Clients - my clients anyway and many other artists’ I’m sure - come to my studio to go through an ancient and beautiful experience as old as humanity itself. In this there’s real magic and connection to our ancestors. Many find it a spiritual experience. To refer to people as ‘canvases’ simply demonstrates the ever widening gap between the world of media, entertainment, social media and corporate culture and our own real world. You are not a canvas. Never let anyone refer to you as such.
