✨ A groundbreaking new treatment for severe COPD is now available on the NHS – thanks to research led right here at Bradford Teaching Hospitals.
Our Respiratory team, led by Professor Dinesh Saralaya, played a key role in the UK clinical trial of Dupilumab, a treatment shown to reduce serious flare-ups, helping people with severe COPD breathe easier, stay out of hospital and enjoy a better quality of life.
For Bradford patient Sheila, who took part in the trial, the results were life-changing:
💙 "I could do things with my family and grandchildren again... I'm so happy it's now available on the NHS."
We're incredibly proud that our Respiratory and Research teams are helping bring innovative new treatments to patients in Bradford and across the NHS.
