Balance by Justine Jackson Aromatherapy 'release your tension and stress and discover inner peace' In such a busy world we need to find 'balance'

Hello my name is Justine Jackson and I love my work!

Complementary Therapies are designed to treat the whole person by assisting the body's natural ability to balance, regulate, heal and maintain itself. This in turn enables us to experience feelings of wellness that can have long term benefits on our physical and mental well being. I am a fully qualified and registered Clinical Aromatherapist specialising in Aromatherapy, Remedial Massage, Relaxin

g and Japanese Facial Massage, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and On-Site Massage. I have a BA(Hons) Degree and a Diploma and I am a Member of the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists (IFPA). All touch therapies can reduce stress, generalised anxiety and depression and help relieve chronic conditions such as IBS, Chrons, Fibromyalgia, ME, Insomnia, Migraine, Cluster Headaches, Lymphoedema, Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Back, Neck Pain. Remedial Massage is excellent for reducing pain associated with injuries including sprains, strains and any injury where the skin is intact, as it helps remove blockages, reduces scar tissue and adhesions and speeds up recovery and encourages a more complete healing. Preventative Maintenance Massage, as the saying goes prevention is better than cure! Having regular massage can be an effective addition to a training schedule. So if you are a runner or exercising regularly this can help improve performance and prevent injury. Aromatherapy uses specific essential oils for their therapeutic properties the oils improve the body's natural functioning. They can assist with massage with anti inflammatory, analgesic and sedative properties or uplifting if you feel low and stressed. I make bespoke creams and oils blends for ailments from dry skin to acne, chronic neck pain to "no" sleep. I make pulse point roller balls for an instant hit with concentration or travel sickness. I also blend room sprays for homes and offices to help keep an environment healthy too. Reflexology is a system of treatment that works on the principle that specific areas of the feet (reflex points) correspond to the different areas of the body. Pressure massage of the reflexes brings about healthy changes in the corresponding organs and systems. The treatment is relaxing (not painful) and helps to release stress balancing the whole body. Japanese facial massage is a combination of eastern and western techniques helping to release the muscles in the shoulders, neck and face. This in turn releases the tension from the face reducing fine lines and wrinkles. You look and feel rejuvenated with the shiatsu massage too, its a whole body workout without getting undressed. Indian Head Massage concentrates on the upper back, shoulders, neck and scalp and is traditionally performed when you are sat up, but if you prefer you can lie down and relax fully too. The scalp work really improves hair growth and condition due to increased circulation. Essential Oils are added to the treatment to really make it a bespoke experience. You can follow me on twitter

We are incredibly proud of John and everyone involved in I Swear. The film has already raised so much awareness about Tourette syndrome and the daily reality faced by those living with the condition. The impact it has had on audiences, families, and those within the Tourettes community is huge, and we could not be more grateful for the support the film continues to receive.

However, we also want to address the negative comments that have surfaced following John’s involuntary vocal tics during the ceremony. We deeply understand that these words can cause hurt and we are deeply sorry to the Black community for the harm caused but at the same time, it is vital that the public understands a fundamental truth about Tourette syndrome: tics are involuntary. They are not a reflection of a person’s beliefs, intentions, or character.

People with Tourette’s can say words or phrases they do not mean, do not endorse, and feel great distress about afterwards. These symptoms are neurological, not intentional, and they are something John - like many others with Tourette’s - lives with every single day.

The backlash from certain parts of the media has been extremely saddening, particularly given how hard John works to raise awareness and understanding. What should have been a night of celebration for him became overwhelming, and he made the difficult decision to leave the ceremony halfway through. This moment reflects exactly what I Swear shows so openly: the isolation, misunderstanding, and emotional weight that so often accompany this condition. People with Tourette’s manage their physical and social environments and symptoms on a constant basis. The price of being misunderstood is increased isolation, risk of anxiety and depression and death by su***de.

We hope that those commenting will take the time to watch the film, learn about Tourette’s, and understand the experiences behind moments like these. Education is key, and compassion makes a world of difference.

Aromasticks are a great way to use the ‘power’ of essentials oils on the go…..

a few sniffs and the limbic system in the brain 🧠 (our emotional centre) responds positively

These have been blended for

Travel Sickness with Peppermint and Lime

Calming / Balance with Frankincense, Geranium Bourbon and Bergamot

Last week I made lots of Hayfever Aromasticks that have been fabulous for reducing symptoms

What do you need one to help with ?

Sleep ?
Studying ?
Rejuvenating ?
Anti-stress ?
Headaches ?
Cold symptoms ?

Essentials oils really make difference and Aromasticks are so easy to have in your pocket or handbag and you can use them anywhere - 4 or 5 deep inhales through your nose and out through your nose - a great way to pause and reset

You can create an “anchor” with the aroma too to help your body settle more easily 😇

If you have any questions - let me know 😊

Great advice from Jo Cheaney Osteopath re prickling 😊🥰

Are you off on holiday? Don't forget your prickle ball.!!
My favourite and most transportable piece of fitness equipment has to be the prickle ball.!
The holiday season is now approaching - we all disappear off to lovely locations and away from our normal routines. Lots of new and exciting things to do
, and hopefully, time to stop still and chill
However, these changes in routine can create a few unexpected aches and pains. The humble prickle ball can come in very handy to help manage these.
Some examples include
1. Wearing flip-flops or no shoes for longer periods can create pains in the arches of the feet.
The prickle ball can be gently rolled up and down or across the arch of the feet to help ease this. Simply stand with the ball under each foot and press into it and roll it.
You can also fill a small water bottle with water and put it in the freezer. When this has frozen, it can also be rolled under the feet. Very soothing.
2. Suddenly, doing lots of impact sports - football on the beach, tennis, golf, volleyball to name a few.! These can leave hips and lower backs a bit stiff afterwards.
You can sit on the floor and roll the prickle ball deep into your hips . Also lie on your back wth your knees bent up and place it under your sacrum/base of your spine and gently rock your pelvis to ease it.
3.As well as the mentioned activities , lying on sunbeds on your stomach reading or on your back with your head propped up can aggravate your neck and shoulders.
To help this, you can stand against a wall and place the ball at the base of your neck and roll it up and down your spine.
Similarly, you can lie on the floor with your knees bent up - place the prickle ball under your upper back and a small cushion under your head. Reach your arms up and over your head and this lovely stretch opens up your upper back and helps relax the muscles up into your neck.
There are so many uses of the prickle ball, and Conor is showing us one of his techniques.!!
Enjoy your holidays and hope the prickle ball helps.
We tend to recommend the 9/10cm option with medium prickles. You can get them from many sources, including - fitsupplies.co.uk, the physical company or amazon.
Happy Prickling.!!
Jo Cheaney😀
