Happy fizzy Friday 🥂

If you know me well you’ll know I hardly drink, but I feel content that if I ever fancy one then I have one, it’s a lovely relationship, balanced and unrestricted 🥂

Today I really fancied sitting in the garden once I’d finished and treating myself to a glass of fizz, but, then it rained 😂 but that didn’t deter my fancying, and so I decided, I’ll sit here in my beautiful little space, with the doors open, and with a dry chair, so I can hear the beautiful sounds, and enjoy my fizz as though I were outside, and I have to say I am enjoying that much fancied glass of fizz 🥂

Don’t be fooled, it wasn’t all that relaxing to get to this point, as us ladies know, jobs need done first, the children are ready to have their conversations and fill me in after not seeing me all day, and then as I poured my fizz ready to relax, the cat decided to throw up! 😏 I’d say that makes the fizz deserved and perhaps even taste better! 🤣

So here I am, having a fizz in the company of the birds and you 🤍

Wishing you a restful weekend whatever you are up to 🙏🏼

Love and gratitude for another beautiful week spent in your company 🤍 ✨

Searching for a little help, please feel welcome to share or comment if you know any person, or a business who could make something along these lines 🌸🌿 or websites you may know of, but really it would be nice to support another. I’m looking to have small information cards to either be printed on or something over the top of the flower paper with the print (if that makes any sense 😂)

Thank you so much if you can help at all 🙏🏼

Wishing you a lovely Friday ✨🌿

Today ended with a beautiful 2 hour aromatherapy treatment ✨🌿 no pre blended oils are used here, each of the ingredients are chosen with intention to create beautiful, bespoke aromatherapy blends, created with care, to enhance the most peaceful, gentle and much needed space and time….

Seeing another find stillness at such a deep level, taking a pause from anything else in the outside world, will continue to be one of the greatest honours of what I do 🙏🏼

Two beautiful products left with their intended companion today…. These products were very much designed for emotional support.

I’m not going to go into every detail behind these products, as those reasons are personal to my client as she begins to connect with her products, but I can share a snippet and some of the beautiful subtle and energetic qualities of these particular essential oils.

🌿 A Gentle Pause Chest Balm ~
When I choose my carrier oils, I often like to lean into their properties but in an energetic sense, so here the base is candellila wax, jojoba, shea butter, evening primrose oil and vitamin e, I lean into their soothing, softening, nourishing and protective qualities, not only for the skin, but in the energy they bring to the intentions behind this product.
✨ Essential oils to support emotional balance and promote calm with their soothing, stabilising and grounding energies ~ geranium, sandalwood, petitgrain, Cedarwood.

🌿 A Gentle Breath Nasal Inhaler ~
I can never say enough how these are fantastic tools to support our nervous system, a gentle reminder and invitation throughout the day to pause and breath slowly and deeply, even if it’s only 20 seconds at a time, over the course of the day it works wonders over time. With the additional qualities of beautiful essential oils to support.
✨ Essential oils chosen to be both calming yet uplifting to the spirit, support emotionally and help support mental strain and stress, with the intention to help reconnect mind, body and spirit~ frankincense, spearmint & grapefruit.

I love formulating, but the creating part of a product, the choosing and the reasoning behind the why, creating the recipe, I could sit in that space for hours. These products are made with more love and intention that you could imagine, and I so hope the people receiving them can feel that, and feel the support these incredible ingredients provide.

How blessed I feel to be able to share this with you 🤍

St. John’s Wort, Latin name: Hypericum perforatum🌼

If you look closely you may see this version of it in the garden as you walk through, the flowers are so beautiful and delicate, and the hypericum berries have always been a favourite of mine in floral bouquets. I think this particular one in the garden is an ornamental cousin of the wild medicinal variety, but I’m researching this 🌿🌼

I often share about essential oils, but, the “carrier” oils shouldn’t be forgotten either, I’ve had times where I’ve made products from nourishing vegetable oils alone, because essential oils weren’t necessary.
St. John’s Wort has ancient old medicinal properties including being used by the Greeks over 2000 years ago. In aromatherapeutic uses St. John’s Wort is a beneficial macerated carrier oil meaning the flowers have been placed in another carrier oil such as sunflower oil for several weeks. It must be used safely and appropriately, is highly considered for nerve type conditions, as an example I use a carrier oil macerated from Hypericum perforatum, and would perhaps add this to a balm or oil if I was treating someone presenting with nerve pain. It can also help to lower skin temperature and can support sunburn, plus an array of other healing benefits.

An important note: This post is intended for those with an interest in aromatherapy and the use of natural oils. Advice should always be sought before using St. John’s Wort in any form as it is well known for its contraindications and can interact dangerously with certain prescription medications. This post is not to educate, but rather to share some of the reasons I may choose it within my own clinical practice, where a thorough consultation has been carried out for client safety, which is what makes the bespoke aspect so important when choosing what ingredients to use for a client. Oh and perhaps to share a pic of the beautiful flowers, which inspired the post 🌼

It makes me so excited to have these wonders growing within the garden, and should I ever require them then they are there, for now though I shall leave them to bloom happily, the berries however I shall definitely use in the future for displays 🌿

A beautiful day here, finished treatments and have just formulated a beautiful balm and nasal inhaler for a lovely client 🌿 I hope your day has been lovely too 🤍

When we moved here last year, I just didn’t have time for the garden due to a really busy year studying, and I promised myself this year I would gift myself time with the garden, get to know the garden, and I’ll probably make mistakes along the way but I really want to try and to learn.

I’ve made some real progress today, which I couldn’t have done without my little helper…… and, obviously Harlan made friends with a snail, Fred the snail, whom he fed grass and made a den for as I continued to w**d!

I’ve been able to do things I’d said I would, albeit I’ve so much more I want to do. I adore the wildness in areas, I really like to see it how it grows through, the long grass and barley are one of my favourite parts, and adding colour in here and there, hoping to make that larger patch into a wildflower patch 🌾🌷

My wish is for it to be imperfectly perfect, promote biodiversity to care for our little corner of this earth and who we share it with, with little areas we are able to use to nourish ourselves with herbs, food and anything I can add to my personal healing cabinet, there’s an abundance of wonders already there naturally and I feel very blessed.

Any gardening group pages you can recommend, please do share 🙏🏼

I hope you have had a lovely Sunday, I’m off to make myself a soothing massage oil, as I think my muscles will be feeling it tomorrow 🤣

Also a special mention to Shaun Tarn Road Nurseries for always giving the best advice and sourcing so much beautiful flora, always an absolute pleasure to visit his tranquil space 🌿

A lovely client asked if I could make an insect repellent spray to take on holiday, sadly for her the mosquitos are quite taken with her and see her as a bit of a feast! She told me she usually gets lots of bites.

So, I set to work, I’ve never made a bug repellent spray to date, but I wanted to lean into the confidence in everything I had learned to create something. At this point I didn’t want to order new essential oils in that I didn’t have, such as citronella, as I wasn’t sure when I’d need it again and wouldn’t want to waste precious resources, and so I went with what I had, with some considerations around the consultation which I won’t share due to confidentiality.

The spritz had ingredients such as lavender and geranium hydrolats, and essential oils of lemongrass, geranium, lavender and Cedarwood and there were natural preservatives and ingredients that allow essential oils to mix in water 🌿

I’d never made one before and could only hope it would help without a couple of the oils I would have liked to use, and so I gave this to my lovely client as a gift for her to trial.

When I saw my client following her holiday, she had one bite on her arm! That was it, and she would usually have had many on her legs. There could definitely have been other factors that helped with this such as the wind where they were and perhaps less mosquito’s, but given that she would usually have multiple bites, I was very happy with this 🙏🏼

I always say aromatherapy and bespoke formulating can be endless, and please never be afraid to ask, if I can create something I will always try 🌿

The beauty of nature working with nature 🌿🤍

Do you ever ask where your essential oil has come from? 🌿 why aromatherapy to me will never be about maximising profit to compromise your health, the extra pennies are so worth it, as are you 🙏🏼

As an aromatherapist, where I source my essential oils is so very important, not only due to the quality and how that impacts therapeutic purity and the oils properties, but also being mindful of supporting safe, ethical and sustainable harvesting. True sustainability is about ensuring our Earth homes resources are not depleted. Quality and ethical suppliers prioritise seasonal harvesting to allow both the plant and soil to recover.

So many essential oils are adulterated with synthetic compounds, making them unsafe, and taking away from their therapeutic properties, and honestly, quite dangerous to our health for many reasons.

I consider myself a conscious aromatherapist, choosing oils with intention, consideration and integrity, not only for your safety (and my own), but to also ensure you are receiving the most nourishing, pure, therapeutic grade essential oils your being, and your wellness deserve, as you deserve the very best care.

A little something to take note of, if you see an oil at a ridiculously low price, then it’s usually too good to be true! I’ve seen bottles of “rose essential oil” as low as around £4, and knowing how rose oil is extracted and the amount of petals it takes to produce, is the very reason rose oil could not be sold pure at £4, think more in the excess of £100 for pure therapeutic grade essential oil.

Never be afraid to question where the oil has come from, and don’t forget to research, oils may be being absorbed typically or through inhalation, in your home, around your children, so it’s really important to know where they come from, and if you’re ever unsure, please always feel welcome to message, you deserve to experience the benefits of aromatherapy in a holistic way, not just through treatment, but having the trust of consideration to the source 🌿

This for me is where intentional, bespoke aromatherapy shines, there’s such a bigger picture at play than simply a blend, so much more thought, and so I thought I’d share a snippet with you, in case it is of any interest 🌿

With aromatic love, Clair 🤍

Beginning the day with an aromatherapy consultation, to listen, understand and explore not only you, but how aromatherapy may be able to support your needs…….. and a beautiful hibiscus and apple tea 🌿

Diffusing is a blend I shared yesterday, ylang ylang, ginger & lime, with energies to allow the nervous system to relax, yet bring a refreshing and gently uplifting energy to help bring focus as as the mind will be active, and present in conversation and thought 🌿✨

Wishing you a lovely Wednesday 🤍

Nourish & Nectar ~ Aromatherapeutic Facial Treatment

I always say that a holistic facial is very underrated in terms of rest and relaxation, not to mention its ability to take you to another world, with the extra special addition and enhancement of aromatherapy, it elevates even further.

My aromatherapeutic, holistic facial, focuses on massage, pressure points, gentle release, slow rhythmic massage to melt away tension in the shoulders, neck, face, head, and scalp. Warming and cooling elements to comfort and invigorate.

For the “nourish & nectar” treatment, I have made a hair mask which will nourish the hair and scalp, with avocado butter and frangipani Monoi oil to hydrate and nourish the hair roots and scalp, soothing massage to encourage cranial blood flow, bring gentle energy release, all whilst being enveloped in the exotic aroma of the frangipani Monoi 🌿 🥥 and what’s more this will be left in for you to go home and allow the goodness to soak in, and for you to continue to enjoy the benefits of your aromatherapy blends.

Another exotic aromatic offering to the senses will be a massage oil of Ylang Ylang, lime & ginger to refresh, calm and soothe, whilst being a tonic to the nervous system.

As always your time is centred around rest, deep rest and release, comforted by the physical touch of nurturing massage, whilst soothing the mind and spirit through aroma and bespoke blends to bring nourishment to every part of your being, quite literally being “nurtured through the senses”.

I struggle to say the word “facial” as this really is so much more, less about product, and more about creating a quiet space for what is usually one of the busiest areas of our being, a mind that never switches off, until it is given the time and space to do so ✨🌿

If the exotic blend doesn’t speak to your soul, then the beauty is we create one just for you, and what you need 🌿

Writing this post I think I’ve decided I need this treatment too!

This treatment can be experienced as a 60 minute or 90minute offering, whichever feels right for you ✨

Aromatic love, Clair 🌿🤍
