Gratitude to the beautiful Artemesia.

Harvested Mugwort, Absinthe, and Tansy today for my homemade sun and moon smudge sticks. Photos show a little of the process. They'll be dry by the Autumn Equinox. If you'd like one, let me know.

Tansy's little yellow flowers signify the sun, and the Artemesias signify the moon goddess. A balance of feminine and masculine energies.

These cleansing and clearing and protective plant spirits are perfect for your saining and smudging rituals, and they're all grown here in mid Wales.

I'm making these medicine rattles from locally sourced natural materials, imbued with healing intentionality and plant essence; my daughter is painting them with power and spirit animals.

I had a beautiful closing of the bones ceremony with Rachel of Rachel Giaccone South Powys last week.

I have come a long way on my healing journey and felt called to honour the work on my mind, body, and spirit up to this point. Rachel bought everything she needed to the treatment room at Floral Ark. The super hot herb bath cleansed and revitalised me down to my bones; I was nurtured and supported by Rachel as she wrapped and rocked my body to surrender.

It was a beautiful experience that I'm still feeling the benefits of.

Wow! Wish you could smell these!

I did the garlic harvest this morning before it got too hot. Some are from bulbs I saved from last years harvest and others from local shop bought organic garlic cloves. A few are supersized! These bulbs will be plaited together and then hung under them porch to cure for a few weeks before they'll be ready to store. Tonight, when it's cooler I'll plant young verbenas in the bed in their place.

Most of these bulbs will be used for medicine, such as fire cider and oxymels. Great for the winter for coughs, colds and a fantastic antibacterial for infections. A spoonful of oxymel is brilliant for sore throats, too. Some may just make it into garlic roastees or a veggie spag bol... they're just so delicious!
