These final three prompts invite you to reflect on the journey you've experienced and the empowering habits you'll carry forward. We're thrilled to have shared this 31-day adventure with you, filled with creative expression, self-reflection, and inspiring quotes. As we navigated the challenges of summer, we learned to prioritise our own well-being, even when routines were disrupted and self-care seemed impossible. In taking care of everyone else it is all too easy to forget to take care of yourself.

We really hope you have enjoyed our 31 Day August Challenge as much as we have. We've certainly enjoyed doodling, painting and reflecting on the quotes each day.

We would love to see your creations. Please share and tag us in any photos or send them to us on messages here and we can share anonymously.

If you missed any of our mindful creativity journaling prompts this week here are all the posts from week four. The theme for this week was self-care and encouraged us to consider our own needs, something that is often tricky in the summer holidays.

Routines are out the window in August and in taking care of everyone else it is easy to forget to take care of yourself. This challenge was your reminder that you are also one of the people you need to take care of!

Our challenge is designed to help you notice how you are feeling in the here and now and to encourage you to offer yourself a little care and attention too.
Remember it doesn't have to be complicated, you could simply write down the quote each day and doodle, collage, draw or paint around it. At the end of August you'd have 31 mindful quotes to reflect on! You could even just have a think about the suggested questions or reflect on the quotes.

In the final few days the focus is going to be on reflecting on what we've learned on this journaling journey. We will invite you to begin to consider what you'd like to take forward from this challenge.

Happy creating! We would love to see photos of your creations...please share and tag us or send us your photos and we will share them anonymously.

This Thank You Thursday, we want to take a moment to recognise some of the amazing people who have supported Brave this month.

A huge thank you to Dot Craft Studio for designing and making a ‘How to make a pumpkin coaster’ video for our Autumn Brave Boxes.

Thank you to the volunteers who gave their time to help water our Brave Garden. Your hard work has helped our beautiful, welcoming reflective space bloom during the heatwave.

We are also incredibly grateful to Dave for growing and donating vegetables for our plant sale.

And finally, thank you to Create Yourself Calm CIC for filming and leading a virtual art class for our virtual event this month.

Every donation, every hour volunteered, and every act of kindness makes a difference. Thank you for helping Brave continue to support Parent Carers when they need it most. 💚

When life is busy, especially when you are a carer, making some time for yourself can be difficult. We hosted an online session with Brave (a charity for parents caring for children with complex medical needs) who provide opportunities for self-care, allowing parents to access our session in the comfort of their own home.

Routines are out the window, we've had yet another week of hot, dry weather and in taking care of everyone else it is easy to forget to take care of yourself.

Our challenge is designed to help you notice how you are feeling in the here and now and to encourage you to offer yourself a little care and attention too.

If you missed any of our mindful creativity journaling prompts this week here are all the posts from week one. The theme for this week was mindfulness and tuning into ourselves and the world around us.

August can be a tricky month, routines change, expectations to be having a wonderful time can increase, the prolonged hot, dry weather can feel too much. Our challenge is designed to help you notice how you are feeling in the here and now and to encourage you to offer yourself a little care and attention too.

Welcome to day 1 of our mindful creativity challenge for August.

Each day we will share a simple prompt and quote on our Facebook and Instagram stories. These will be simple ideas for you to take a little time each day to check in with yourself, be mindful and practice a little creativity.

You can complete the suggestions in a notebook, on scrap paper or even just take time to reflect on them each day. We suggest you dip in and out as suits you. Each Saturday from 8th August we will share a post of the suggestions from that week in case you miss any.

A really easy way to get involved is to just write down the quote each day and doodle, draw, paint or collage around it. By the end of the month you’ll have 31 mindful quotes to reflect on!

Keep your eyes peeled on our socials because Sue may be popping on with some short creative mindfulness demos and Lindsay may drop by to share a few short mindful moments.

Please share and tag us with your creations.
Watch this space!

From tomorrow, join us on an art journal journey for you to join in throughout August.
Check out our stories daily and we'll give a weekly round-up too.
All you need is some paper, pencils, pens and any creative materials you have available plus a bit of time for yourself.
Hope you can join us.
